Anyone polished the stock muffler?
I'm curious if anyone has polished the stock muffler, and if so, how you went about it?
I don't really want to go with an afermarket exhaust, but I'd like it if the stock muffler wasn't always so nasty looking. Realistically, pulling it off and polishing it with a bench motor with a wire wheel, then a polishing wheel would do it quickly and relatively painlessly, but I lack the bench, and the motor.
Anyhow, I figure someone would have done this, anyone remember someone doing it? Search turned up nothing.

The stock exhaust & muffler are just plain steel. If you stripped the paint off, it would rust or oxidize in no time at all. You need to have a stainless steel exhaust system if you want to polish it and have it stay that way.
