Default Meguiars NXT Polish

All I can say is wow, detailed the wife's 02 Maxima and it looks great. Way better than the Gold Class I used to use on her car.

One easy step, and it even gets rid of the swirls. Although I think that will take a about 3-5 more coats.

Not as good as Zaino, but the Z got the Zaino treatment yesterday.

This detailing work is for the birds, but it pays off in the end.

I am a huge fan of that NXT! Glad you liked it too! Car looks great, but I dont think the lighting in those pictures does it justice.

Well, at the rate it has been raining here in STL it has held up very well. After 2 weeks of flash floods and thunderstorms still beading and shiny.

I have used NXT for about a month and its not very durable. I have rougly 10 coats on my G35 and it beads still but does not have the same protection as Zaino nor the gloss.
I just tried DULON over the weekend and it seems to work very well.
I am in Florida and our water is very hard so that might have somthing to do with the lasting properties of NXT.

I just got my black/black ZR on Friday. The production date was April 10, 2004. I forgot that the paint might be too fresh? I applied a light coat of Meguiars's NXT on Memorial Day on a cool surface in my garage. Today I noticed in the sunlight the long straight strokes that I applied with the applicator. I cleaned it off with a soft cotton cloth and it appeared again in minutes. Do I used Mothers Calf. Gold Carnauba cleaner wax, safe for clear coats. Or what else?? Thanks ahead!

Ditto on this end. Then I tried Zaino and after spending quite a bit of time with washing, clay baring and the various Zaino applications the Z looked great. Tonight, about ten weeks later I washed the Z and the finish beads well and is still slippery. Hooked on Zaino.

NXT contains some cleaners in it; therefore, it does not layer well like Zaino. It might take 2 coats, but after that, you are removing a coat when you add a coat.

I think you are correct..
I am VERY happy with DULON, its a two step process but it drys quickly and the shine is incredible.

Default Durability

FYI, after starting with Zaino and applying a few coats, getting shinier and shinier with each coat, after 10 coats I decided to test the durability. I stopped applying coats and just washed fairly regularly (weekly or less) with Zaino's Z7 car wash.

After about 6 months the car still looked great, but I noticed the water beads weren't quite as tight as they used to be. I cleaned her up good and slapped on a couple quick coats.

I love Zaino.
