do you use your zaino on your car every week?

Just curious, should Z-2 always be the last "layer" on? It seems that every thread has Z-2 being put on after Z-5, but I'm wondering if I can do a Z-5 layer one week and Z-2 the next or something like that or if I'd be better off doing Z-5 follwed by Z-2 the same session and do them every other week.

We don't notice the small paint imperfections with Silverstone quite as much as those who have SuperBlack or Brickyard. Z5 helps mask these small imperfections...we've got'em, just don't see them as much. I try to apply 2 layers of Z5 followed up with Z2 left on overnight but sometimes I run out of time or condidtions are not quite right. I that case I just remember the next application needs to be Z2. Waiting a week to apply this last layer of Z2 should not adversly affect the results.

I understand that Z5 fills in swirls, but what I'm wondering is Z5 less durable than Z2. I'm not 100% sure but from my memory they both are polishes right? Why wouldn't you just use Z5 all the time w/ a dark car? Does the Z2 provide something that Z2 does not?
The main reason I ask is that I got my Zaino stuff this week and my Z isn't in yet so I did some work on my 10 year old black mustang. I washed it w/ dawn, clayed it, washed it w/ Z7, used Z6, then did a layer of Z5 and a final Z6 misting. I just started going to the gym again last week and was so sore that I couldn't keep going. I was way way too sore and tired.
I took the car out (which btw looked better than it had in 5 years) and it rained and I have the worst looking water spots I've ever seen on my car ever. I'm just wondering if I had done a layer of Z2 would the spots be less noticable and if it was maybe a reaction of the water just sitting on the Z5. Or is it just a zaino thing in general? I live in Miami and it rains pretty much every late afternoon during the summer so there is no way to avoid rain all the time and it's going to be my everyday car. I will be getting a car cover to protect it as much as possible because I won't have garage space for about 6 months.

You could do that but in the week you have only the Z-5, if you happen to pick up any swirls, your next layer of Z-2 wouldn't fill those in. Again, this the only reason I can think of to not do it that way. It the real world, it probably doesn't matter.

The reason to use Z-2 over the Z-5 is because (as Sal says) it is more "optically perfect". In other words, it lets the true color of the paint show through and it shines a little better than the Z-5. Five is better for swirls though.
Kevin is right. Even though I now have 70 layers of Z-2 and Z-5 on the car, if I only wash it with the Z-7 wash, dry, and then do a Z-6 misting, the car looks AWESOME.
Once you get a good base of Zaino polish, that's all you really need.
