Default Zaino plan for my car.

Well.. my car came in monday and its been raining all week and my car looks like poop so Saturday is my big detailing day (I hope it doesn't rain). I have all my supplies ready and i plan to do the following:

1. Wash w/ Dawn.
2. Mist w/ Z-6.
3. Layer of Z-5.
4. Mist w/ Z-6.
5. Layer of Z-5.
6. Mist w/ Z-6.
7. Layer of Z-2.
8. Mist w/ Z-6.

My weekly refresh will be:
1. Wash w/ Z-7.
2. Mist w/ Z6.

And once a month I plan to:
1. Wash w/ Z-7.
2. Mist w/ Z-6.
3. Layer of Z-5.
4. Mist w/ Z-6.
5. Layer of Z-2.
6. Mist w/ Z-6.

I hope this all sounds good. I decided not to clay it tomorrow because its a brand new car and it never spent any time sitting on the lot. I literally got it right off the truck and I can't see anything even remotely contaminated about the paint. I also don't think I can possibly add the claying and then 2nd washing after the claying and still remain sane. Its just too much. Hopefully it will turn out nice and i'll post pics soon after all my work.

I'm still somewhat concered about water spots. It rains a lot here in Miami and I don't want a spotted car. It rained all week and the waxed car (from the detailing the dealer did) is now dirty, but not spotted. I expect the Zaino'ed car to be in similar condition after a week, but not worse. There is just no way for me to avoid rain on a regular basis.

Wish me luck!

Sounds like you have a good plan for now and future. Based on the care you plan on giving your "Z", hate to see you pass up the "claying"! You do the Dawn wash, then move right into the claying with Z7 and water solution. Then wash, dry and Z6 before proceeding with Z5 and Z2. While you can't see the contamination, it is there. You got it "right off the truck", but how long from manufacture date until you received.

I am assuming you are using ZFX with the Z5 and Z2?

Oppma Japan factory to parking lot, to truck, to ship, 4-6 week trek to USA, to port parking lot, to truck (or train) to truck, to dealer to you.

Trust me, do the clay. See this post I did 2 years ago when I applied the first of my now 70 layers.

Gosh Doc...I actually chimed in before you...: ) I just didn't fill in all the blanks (i.e. Japan, dealer and finally sprmario).

Thanks for all the help w/ the many questions about towels and products and everything else that I read in back posts. The car looks amazing.

BTW, I'm totally and utterly exhausted!

Ya gotta love the clouds on the hood pic

your black z looks awsome. Are those streaks i see on the hood, or is that just the picture? Either way, the car looks amazing.

Thanks. I have a lot of time and effort and $ into it but I don't drink, I don't party, I don't smoke, I don't golf. This is what I spend my spare time (and money) on when I'm not working or with my kids.
