Yea ..I did some checking around and it seems that every track has different conditions that have to be met...there are similar rules of course concerning safety but depending on the place and event, the criteria seems to vary slightly. The biggest one is obviously having the product be extremely secure. and that part has been achieved. I think it would be impossible on my part to get a prequal from every flavor of event out there. i do have a couple buddys at speedventures that are going to check them out towards the middle of the month - but production is moving forward regardless.

The proto's are done...was driving around w/ them this weekend - they work great. Just need to test fit these on a stock Z to make sure all the clearances are cool then make final adjustments...There is felt on bottom in some areas to save the paint...

All the particulars should be worked out in a few days along w/ a official for sale thread..( final fitting and adjustments if necc ). I'm working on a production cost/ actual cost list today. Since I'm a one man band, these will be made to order and not a widespread item - unless another party has their own product. Will update soon....

Any plans to offer them in other colors in the future since they're made to order anyway?

These will prob stay as satin or flat black...but to have these painted or color matched at a bodyshop wouldn't be too expensive if you wanted to go that direction. And for CF it prob run you about 70-80 bucks in materials and a couple days of labor...

I was basically just listing some helpful info if you were to do it yourself....If you did want to go this route...I would have them wrapped by tonester. My expertise in wrapping in this medium is not quite up to par yet. Just make sure that whoever does do it - applies a UV coating as well so yellowing doesn't happen.
