Great product from a great guy.

Anyone who thinks the price is too high really won't be tracking their cars anyway. They just want a bling part for cheap.

Thanks bro....yea I think these things woulda been a bigger hit if they were
carbon fiber but I decided I've resin coated my brain cells enough for one year.

Incorrect. What does assuming do to people?

Bling? lol

Seriously, when I can get entire headlights for much cheaper......it just doesn't fit in.

Who cares if you can get headlights for less?? He isn't selling headlights, he's selling a track item. He is also selling something that can be installed and removed easily unlike replacing headlights. You have to take into account the total picture and not just whether you can do something totally different and unrelated for less.

so you're saying you would rather buy new headlights after EVERY track session and replace them instead of buying headlight covers ONCE?

No worries...there's going to be a lot of mixed opinions abouts these and there functionality vs. price point...If swapping your headlights for track beaters is the route you want to go - its no biggie. Me personally, The last time I went to Buttonwillow #13, after a days event, I was so thouroughly exhausted, granted I'm not in the best shape in the world, you couldn't pay me $200 to take on and off my front bumper....not even the day after. I was literally running to the liquor store for a 12 pack. That was the moment I was like...Hmmm. for people like me you have had cool headlight mods done ( clear corners LED retro ) and replacing them isn't an option - something like this would be perfect...Although in the end its up to you...On a side note CF or properly colormatched eyelids serve a solely asthetic purpose and run about a $100. I think even at $250 these are and amazing deal...But don't take my word for it. Try them out yourself....

FYI, there's a guy in the Mid-Atlantic subforum who's making a CF one-off of these, at least that's why my half-assed attempt at skimming the thread looked like.

I noticed that thread...It was a little hard to read through though. But I think his approach was to 3m tape a sheet of carbon on the headlight. Maybe he'll have some more developments soon. Ever since I started this thread...( more than a few months ago I think )....there's been a few attempts to do this. One was a complete carbon replacement headlight and the others being fiberglass one-offs..which is how I got started. I'm not discounting one over the other but actually encourage other parties to take time to try a little something different and experiment. I can say though that I am pleased w/ the product I have and its completely up to the end-user in the direction they take.

Wow some people are really smart.

I use replacement ones with tape at the track.

Who breaks headlights every time they go to the track? Every time?

I think that this product is great, and I'm glad it's available to the community. I have been following the development for a long time, and was just a little surprised at the price point. I wish I had the ability to offer something more affordable, but this is the best option, clearly, for someone who wants headlight covers.

Yes...unfortunatley,.....they still have to be prepped trimmed and sanded down smooth. - The prime and paint really takes no time at all.
