I'm still new to the whole drag racing thing, so maybe some of the other guys here can back me up, or correct me.

From what I read, if tire pressure is too low it can really slow down you trap speed. I haven't run radials yet, but maybe you can start inching the pressure up and see what happens to your times. There's another good thread a few down on using DR's.

With the nittos you should pull better 60' than 2.0, people are getting that on stock tires (wish I could).

Run with the stock pressure, too low will drag your trap speed down.

Great ET!, but how did you pull that off with a 2.22 60"?

Thanks! I do need to work on my 60's. The 2.22 was a result of dropping the clutch out at 2500 RPM's and then bogging the engine.

I am thinking I was able to keep my ET is so low because my TRAP is so high @103.91 mph. I gained something like 23 mph after the 1/8 mile marker. I just shift as fast as I can. All the runs were on stock 17's and and stock tires.

I had a 4 or 5 runs that night all in the high 103' mph, just couldn't launch for beans.

I was really looking for 13.5's before winter, but ran out of days this year.

I beleived you but thanks for posting the slip. It shows where you are really coming on at the 1/8.
My best so far is a 13.903 @ 99.99. I have hit 100 trap speed and I have had problems launching too but in the above run my 60" was 2.087 That is why I was wondering.

Ya, no problem. Just thought it would help if you could see all the times from the run. It is a low ET with a mediocre to poor 60'. So this way you can see how the numbers pan out.

At another track about a month before this I ran a 13.79 @ 102.81. In that run my 60' was 2.1xx. So I guess I wasn't shifting as quickly up high, but got off the line better and it panned out. Now I just need to combine the two.
