Default Drag Wheels/Tires For Track Model

Thought I'd mention in the "Drag Racing" section that I'm selling 2 16" Weld Wheels and MT ET's that will fit over Brembo Brakes. See the Classified Section.

Default dimensions?

The following is my personal experience trying to "drag" the track model. If you keep the "Brembo" brakes, the smallest wheel you can go with is a 16" Weld Prostar XP (8.5" wide). With this wheel I used a MT ET 26 by 11.5 tire. Before that I tried a 18" BFG Drag Radial on the Track wheel and I wasn't satisfied. I mentioned earlier that Weld does not make the 16" Prostar anymore so good luck on finding a pair. I've personnally swapped out the Brembos for the stock brakes now and gone with 15" Weld's, slicks and skinnys!!

I got the 18's BFG right now and not happy either.
I'm thinking of going the slicks route as well, do you think there are any dangers of breaking the axles with Slicks?

Default mrtomcat

I broke the drivers side half axle on a pair of MT ET Streets but my air pressure was down to 6 and I was using a 200 plus shot off the line. (It should break doing the above) I now have after market half axles from driveshaftshop.com and use the correct air pressure (12 to 15) on a pair of 15" MT Slicks.
