Default 13.6 @ 102 San Antonio Raceway 01-05-05

It's looks like things are getting a little better. Tonight I was able to run a 13.63 @ 102.27. As you can see by my 60' time, the Z has a lot more left in it. My reaction time is good, but my 60' times leave something to be desired.

I can't quite seem to get her just right yet. On passes were I hook up decent I bog just a little and am often wheel hopping second gear pretty bad. However if I get a little more aggresive to avoid the bog, I end up spinning/wheel hopping 1st and 2nd really bad. I plan on buying some DR's or ET's to help out.

Thanks to my reaction times, I was able to get some pretty awesome kills tonight. At least that time dropped considerably!

I could only imagine what she'll do when I get my 60' time around 1.8 to 1.9.

Nice times. Looks like practice is paying off. Tires will make a big and consistent difference. Hope to see you at the track soon.

No. I was in the left lane all night long. Were you at the San Antonio Raceway that night?

Thanks. What was your 60' time on your 13.7 run. I am trying to figure out if I have enough power in her to get a low 13 once I get some tires and a much lower 60'.

2.07

Thats why I was suprised at your 13.6. I do lose some traction shifting into second, but still. Tracks can vary though.

I figure I could probably pull off a 13.3 or better with a 2.07 60'. I just need some more practice and a little more traction.

That was a run against an older 5.0 Mustang. I think he was in a short coma as I was racing down the track. I actually thought he was giving me a head start and that out of no where he'd start sucking me back up, but that wasn't the case at all.

Nice time! Did you do any weight reduction (no spare tire, etc), and what tire pressure were you running.

As far as weight reduction, if anything I've gained weight. I did pull the spare out, but I added a lot of stereo equipment to the car. I have 3 large amps and everything needed to run them installed. I do pull the sub out when I run, but with those amps and two boxes of dynomat stuck to my interior, I think my car is heavier than stock even with the spare removed. I have been giving seriou thought to selling all the audio equipment and putting the money from that into more mods. Plus I'll lose some weight in the Z.

Ok thanks, I too have stereo equipment in my car. But I dont have the luxury of taking it out the way I had everything installed (stealth). I cant see everything weighing that much though.

I will probably take my spare out if I goto the track.

Man, you'd get better times if you pulled all audio, spares, tools, etc.
