The 2005 Mustang GT suffers from this and the LS2 equipted cars do as well. From what I've seen folks are picking up a few tenths in the 1/4 mile on the new Mustangs just by reflashing this torque managment out of the ECU program.

lightly modded is probably with filter, exhaust, maybe pulley, etc..
pretty decent 1/4mile time though.
