Great runs!

Do you mind telling what your mods are?

With a 1.6-1.7 60', you are in the 12's!

I would say best bang for the buck test-pipes, and I felt the crank pulley free up some power. I did the ecu last because I was running so lean, when I got that back it was a night and day difference, so I would recommend it but only after you have enough mods that you will see a difference with it.

on the new setup, my goal is 11.99 just once i just need the new gears and tires and a nice night

trust me i defend what the 350 can do elsewhere as much as I defend other cars on here I need a reference for 12s. there are some local bolton cars that trap 105-7... of course tehse guys also have nitrous so it sometimes seem they are on a tiny shot when their trap jumps down on another run.

I ran one guy who has all the boltons, exhaust intake pulley test pipes, aluminum fly wheel and some other stuff and like an 80 shot when i was in the 12.81 form.... the only 350 i have ever gotten to run me. he went 112 on the bottle i think
What color was that Z you ran? I also spray, and trap at 112 so there must be another Z out there at San Antonio Raceway with a setup like mine. I have the Silver track model that came up and talked to you and Eddie one night.

Im curious what do you trap n/a and how big of a shot do you run? I really have my long term sights set on building the block and doing a Greddy kit, but after seeing what I can do with bolt-ons part of me wants to add headers, a TB, and some cams and add a little N20 on top of that....would be much cheaper, and quick, but ultimately not as fast as I want.

I could do it, you can powershift anything....if your good you can do it. In my old car I went from a 28lb FW to a 9 lb FW, it was prolly as big of a difference as a Tilton in the Z, and I powershifted the hell out of it. Too bad the tranny was weak, and I was replacing them every other month-went through 4 tranny's in 15K miles

My highest trap on the motor only was 106.xx, just a fraction of a MPH shy of 107. I don't have cams or headers either. As far as shot size used, I was at 80% of a 100 shot (approx a 80 shot) when I ran a 12.8 @ 112. Keep in mind that this is done on regular street tires sized 245/40/18. I am in the process of choosing a DR or ET streets. I do not spray my shots all the way through the powerband at a consistant rate. It is setup to spray based on the traction I am capable of with my street tires. On this particular run, my 60' time was 2.17 which is lousy considering that I have pulled 1.9's on these same tires.

So you push to 6200 and power shift??? how do you work the clutch pedal???? do you slip your foot off to the side or just kick it down and pull your foot back quick???

When I get to 7100 rpm's in 1st I slam down on th clutch shift as fast as I can and get off the clutch like it's on fire(kick down and back quick). I do that for every gear shift when racing. My rpm's dont shoot up, if Im a little slow that day maybe 200-300 rpm's, but thats rare. I hate hearing these wanna be powershifters going down the track I always get a kick outta that, it sounds like this---> waaaAAAAaaaaaAAAAAaaa(<--lol I dont know how to desribe it) you can hear them jumping 500+ rpm's while they have the clutch in, their feet are too slow. These are the idiots that burn their clutches quick and glaze thier FW's. If you can do it correctly it can really help keeping your momentum on gear shifts, and I always do it, because when I race on the street people always fall back on their shifts if we are even, unless they can shift well also. Many people underestimate what good shifting can do e.t. and trap speed wise. Quick story-I have a frind that had a bone stock GTI 1.8T, he's an "ok" driver he was running 15.4 @ 93 all night long. He let me run it once, and with only a .1 better 60ft I ran 14.6 @ 95-no joke believe it or not. Shifting is HUGE.

done12many2 - thats an impressive trap for a small shot, mount up some slicks run your 100 shot with optimal bottle pressure and you'll go mid to low 12's

Well I am about to put the 125 or 150 jets in her. I will just regulate it down to a 100 shot with the Maximizer, for the most part, but will dyno and check A/F at 125 or 150 just in case. Hoping to see some mid teens for traps with that setup.

me and eddie? are you sure that was me? i think you are refering to brent. i havent goen anywhere with eddy in like a year at least.

there are a few bolton bottle guys. I tried to line up with you at the track a few sundays ago... but you stayed back to run another 350. they backed me off from the damn water from icing my intake down.

there is a nother silver or gunmetal, and a black one, chris who owns 210 performance

I would definitely like to run you at the track some times before i slow the car down with some heavy 17s and stop running.

win or lose, i think it would be alot of fun.

see this is why i would never doubt any orf your kills. I do the same and its great watching people lose a half car between shifts. obviously you know what you are doing. you have all my respect.

just dont diss the little yellow 95 she gets me around alright, i like her, thats what matters

Hey man I dont diss any car because it American, or a V-8 or not my style. I am a fan of speed, I like anything that goes fast, and I respect people that know what's up with racing, track times, ect, not these bench racers. From reading all of your posts, I could see you were a knowlegable person in general not just towards Mustangs, and you even gave me pointers on slicks-cuz I am a newbie to those. You have all of my respect as well I have a 14MB video I am trying to post of all 3 of my runs(need a host), when I post it you can hear the shifting. One thing Ive noticed with the Z that I havent noticed with any other car Ive ever powershifted on video-on some shifts, it actually sounds like I lift for a very quick split second-the revs dont shoot up, or drop, it actaully sounds like a lift but I dont lift. I dunno maybe its just me, when I hear my shifting I think its good, but Im always trying to get better--Im sure you know whats thats like....as far as dissing your Mustang, no way it would smoke me, and even if it wouldnt I wouldnt talk $hit, like I said I like fast cars.

Edit-just remember if you want to see me race/shift look earlier in this thread I posted my races vs an STI and a stock Z, I forgot about that
