i have hosting space for your vid.

I am about to go a different direction with teh stang. Probably gonna get some heavy 17s and upgrade sway bars and bushings to handle a little better. I will change the coilover front spring reate from drag to something that turns. These skinnies are safe and nice in teh rain but they dont turn to well

the heavy **** 17s will probably slow me down quite a bit. I'll probbaly trap under 110 on motor

but its ok, i can be patient while i wait for a power adder once i graduate here preyty soon.

Hey I think its a good thing what your doing. Yeah it sucks your car will be a little slower in a straight line, but it will more than make up for it in the turns. Id rather have a good handling low 13 second car then say a low 12 second car that cant handle very well at all. Just my opinion. If you want to host the vid I could send it to you over AOL IM, cuz the size of the file I dont have any email accounts that could send that. If you have IM my SN is dbtrackz33. Thanks for the offer.

Its not an in-car video, its my car from outside but if you want, listen to the shifts. For comparison video tape yourself shifting(or watch a vid you already have) and listen to the difference, even if you think its slight, every little bit counts. Here is a video of me racing an STI 1st 2 races, and me vs a stock Z-last 2 races. Listen to my car the 3rd and 4th race because you cant really hear my car when the camera is in it the 1st two. Dont mind me jumping around in race #3, I was all pumped up racing and I was moving around waiting to shift I like to throw my whole body into the shift every once in a while for fun, lol, my friends laugh @ me... anyways heres the vid http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...ZmQzMXk1NDE%3D

Congrats Alberto!!! Saw your sig when you posted in a different thread. The trap speed is what I'm most impressed by. Too bad my car won't be N/A for more than a couple weeks longer, or I'd consider getting slicks now and going for 12s

BTW...I dyno'd the other day after my borla, JWT clutch/flywheel install and put down 256rwhp and 248rwtq. Mods now are JWT intake, Helix TPs, Borla TD exhaust, JWT clutch/flywheel.

Thanks. Congrats to you on the soon to be APS TT-yuo seem to have more experience than me launching. I have no doubt you could run 12's n/a. Your dyno numbers look great for the mods you have...I'm looking forward to seeing what an APS TT Z with a good driver can do

I'd like to take a moment to reflect on past threads with 'forum experts' claiming aftermarket mods don't improve performance on a naturally aspirated 350Z.

IN YOUR FACE.

Thank you, you may now continue on.

Congrats-nice times. 12's are just around the corner with the perfect launch. Some day i'll try powershifting-to date i've never tried it in any of my cars. Do you ever grind the synchros?

Thanks, no I dont grind when shifting. You were the one that motivated me to break into the 12's, I know you cut a 1.6 60 ft on your run, if I could pull a 1.7 no doubt Id go 12's. BTW what was your e.t on that 12 second run 12.9XX ?? I need to know in case I hit 12.9 X to see if I beat you or not

Alberto, were you brought up in a family that leaned more towards domestic cars?

Lol, Ive never been asked a question like that. No, nobody in my family is into cars, my dad was for a short time when he was younger, but not after he started his family. Ive never had any domestic/import bias coming from anybody esle, Ive just always leaned towards imports. Im from Peru, cars arent really big in that country like they are here. Im assuming you think so cuz you always see me in the drag racing forums?? Just cuz I run my car down the 1/4 doesnt mean Im not into the handling aspect of our cars as well I put my JIC coilovers on before half my engine mods, the stock suspension wasnt enough...

Heh. Nah, I was asking because it seems like people who are interested/have owned in/a domestic usually do GREAT in the 1/4 mile.

Oh ic...when I turned 16 and started driving, I went to the local 1/4 track for the 1st time. I couldnt run cuz I wasnt 18, so I had my dad sign off saying I could, and I got a "minors liscense"-I spent almost every Friday(test & tune) of my 16th, and 17th year old life running my POS at the track. I sucked huge a$$ @ shifting when I began, but after meeting certain people, watching, learning I just learned how to shift and launch

Last 2 domestics I owned were a 98 Grand Prix and a 98 Jeep Cherokee...BOTH gave me all kinds of problems...been an import guy ever since. Never drag raced a domestic. I'd say I do pretty decent in the 1/4...

I would say best bang for the buck test-pipes, and I felt the crank pulley free up some power. I did the ecu last because I was running so lean, when I got that back it was a night and day difference, so I would recommend it but only after you have enough mods that you will see a difference with it.

did you get a custom tune or just the basic?

Custom-I sent my lean at the time dyno with a/f, and told them my mods, and they tuned off that, and off of what they have seen before me. I couldnt be happier, PERFECT 13.1 a/f now all the way across the board. And I gained 12 ft lbs of TQ peak.
