Default Well, I did it. The stock 5AT number to beat (in the world)

13.667@101.57

60' - 1.996

Will have a bunch of timeslips/pictures uploaded tomorrow.

Ok, so as it stands, we came to the conclusion that Lion had the best with a 13.816...so I beat that full weight earlier in the day with a 13.784@102.21...then I removed spare tire and jack, let the car sit for a while as it got colder and pulled the 13.6

Timeslips??? Video??? Seems a little far fetched...but you never know. Congrats if you really did run that time.

I'll scan the timeslips now, and I have pictures of the timeslip NEXT to my car and the number on my window, I knew it'd be hard to believe...great air, great track, and a 1.9 60' did it...

What was the elevation/temp/humidity? Was the track prepped to NHRA standards or something?

Temp was in the mid 60's, no extra track prep...and I beleive Atco is close to sea level...air was nice and dense as well...

BTW, funny as it sounds, letting our cars cool down too much has an opposite affect.

I have found my best passes come after a few runs back to back, as my traps speed goes up. I am sure you noticed your was down after cooling off a bit. This is due to the ecu being adjusted for running best at normal operating temps.

Makes me sad that my local track is 2200 ft. above sea level and the temps during the summer are 105 to 115 degrees... I can only dream of those numbers...

looking at the 13.7 timeslip...you picked up nearly 24mph in the second 1/8...that's unheard of for a normally aspirated, let alone STOCK Z. I usually pick up about 21...MAYBE 22mph in the second 1/8. I trap 81-82 in the 1/8 and 103-104 in the 1/4. The only way you're going to increase how much mph you pick up in the second 1/8 is by adding LOTS of power, or having a really big tailwind. How was the wind??

Congrats DomZ, now you well and trully hold the record. That time actually exceeds any expectations I had ... I knew that 13.7s were possible, but you're well into 13.6s now. Good stuff and congratulations again.

ps. Did you do anything special in the launch to get the sub 2sec 60' time?

To get the 1.9 I did LONG burnouts and stalled to like 2200 then blipped it right before the green...every other 60' for the day was 2.0 (I got like 6-7 runs in)

About the car cooling off, yea, it got right to normal running temps before that from sitting in line, but I was worried about my tranny being too cool, so I was stalling to like 2k while in line for 3-5 seconds a few times...

I agree 24mph is quite odd and it suggests massive topend power (ie turbo, LS1, etc). My auto G sees about 21 to 21.5mph in the final 1/8.

One thing though, I noticed this was Atco. This is the same track a Maxima owner with a 03 Maxima SE auto with headers, intake, and catback is running 13.7@101mph on heavy 18s no less. It's also the same track a bonestock 04 Maxima SE auto ran 14.2@96mph. These cars are all rarities in terms of thier performance compared to other similiar modded cars. Like DomZ said, it's a fast track that is prepped well and the conditions were great. You run what you run.

There you go even with the auto with taller gears then a 6spd. Its equally fast! How many miles do you have? How did you breakin your car?

I'll put my 6-speed with me driving it up against ANY auto Z ANY day with ANY driver in the auto...

The auto isn't slow, but under equal conditions, driver skill aside..the 6-speed will always be the quicker car.

Just look at the AVERAGE traps of the 6-speed vs. the auto. The 6-speed is consistantly 2-3 mph higher. So ONE auto on ONE day got a freaking SICK 60' and ran a 13.6 with a 101.5mph trap. Great for him, but I don't think you should go around saying that the auto is just as quick as the 6-speed.

Hell...I don't think I've EVER seen a stock auto trap 100mph or higher until this car.
