Whelp the damn waiting list paid off, I am heading out to California Speedway today, see you there.

I heard about some great numbers for your car after the TT, Plenum, & Exhuast install.

Are you going today?

I was running MT ET streets for the first time in my life, JWT Clutch and flywheel,Technosquare L-Spec other than that 100% Stock
so overall I'm very happy

getting a decent burnout was my biggest challenge the car kept on violantly fish tailing during burnouts so I could not get the tires heated

man, running with slicks is completely different, it felt like skatting

I got in 12 runs, could have easily gotten 40 but didn't want to overdue it.
Best track day ever, I'll be back next time.
good seing you again GTO2350 and good to meet you IGOTTAZ
lost of very fast ZX300's also very cool people

IGOTTAZ was being teased all night as well but he beat the Cali Speedway demons at the end....but I'll let him share that

Anytime you are going to "press" your car's limits you are going to need to turn off VDC as it's going to attempt to "help" you in the event you are actually losing control.

VDC employees, braking, reducing/removing acceleration, reducing horsepower available, etc..etc..

So if you are going to launch, or gun it, or even take a curb hard, you're going to need it off....

As far as the method to launching, it's all going to be based on what you're running as equipment.

You need to find the sweet spot to where your clutch and tires hold.

When I was at Irwindale speedway I was reving up to 4200/4500 and letting up the clutch completely and the interesting thing about this trip out to my first trip to California Speedway was I was actually reving up to 2000/2500 and letting it up and I was getting great response from the car.

I broke 13 seconds and got down to a 12.98 a couple times and had several 13.0x runs, in addition to my typical 13.2/13.4 runs....

This is on my Toyo Proxes T1-S street tires, so this is pretty damn good.

Overall it was a good experience, I'd like to run with drag radials like the Ra-1's that Toyo was supposed to deliver intitially, but couldn't get me the 295/30's that I wanted.

I'm working on Toyo first thing Monday.

Default 12.942, 12.965, 12.985

Those were my best results, at least I broke the 13 second barrier.

#14 Was a 350z Greddy Twin Turbo with some nice mods

#79 Was a Mustang SVT Cobra

#36 Was a Short, Light, Oldie with a Monsterous Motor[/QUOTE]

APS Intercooled Twin Turbo, Enkei 19 x 10's, Toyo T1-S 275's this is
my street setup so I am pretty happy considering...

Now the question is do I have the quarter mile bug or not, I'm considering changing over to Drag Radials and see what a difference that makes, I'm not certain yet I want to go the whole route of axles, wheels, and slicks.

I'm assuming that combination is good for another 3/4 second as it is with TomCats but until I take the next HP upgrade I don't think that's enough for me to warrant it...

I'm certain with drag radials, and possibly a burnout to boot should be good for another 1/2 second with improved launch/60' times. IGottaZ and his Greddy TT and his drag radials was got down to 12.8, aside from his other clever mods as well.

So is another 2k worth 3/4 of second? In my opinion no, and of course that is not streetable, so what's the point after you get the timeslip..... Unless money was involved...
