Ok, that makes more sense to me. I couldn't remember what rpm and mph I was at for max speed in 4th gear in my SS, but I thought that was rather high mph (even though this was an auto and I had a mt). It's been a while since I browsed the camaroz28 forums and my knowledge on the f-body is a bit rusty.

I'm glad this didn't turn into a flame war like I thought it might (and usually does in forums like these), and I also appreciate the compliments. I'll be happy to post my timeslips when I finally get some to post, hehe. I guess I'll look up the phone number for Desoto and get the information that way, so I know when I might be able to get out there. I don't have a lot of free time. I get about 30-45 minutes a day on the puter, and I've spent most of it in here the last few days.

I'm hoping I can get real low 13's (like 13.1xx) while still bone stock, that would make my day. I want the best stock time I can get so when I start modding I'll be able to see just how much certain mods helped, if at all. I will say this for the Z though, it's the best handling car I've ever owned, and 10 years ago I would've never dreamed that a stock 6-cylinder with no FI (engineered to last 200,000 miles no less) would perform like this one does. I can only imagine what a twin turbo on this car would do.

I've never had the pleasure of racing against a Terminator Cobra, but I heard those are pretty mean. Mustangs have always had more of an aftermarket than the Camaro too, and can usually get mods done much cheaper. So any Mustang kill gets a thumbs up from me.

 

2007-Z, I was hoping to avoid a flame was as well.. but since you owned an F-body and weren't clueless (some people still believe we only have 305HP at the crank) I knew this would end well. I would be extremely suprised to see a 13.1 after seeing what i have so far but I certainly wish you the best in your quest. It looks like you have the skill to pull it off.
