This weekend is the 3rd EVO vs. WRX/STi Shootout in New Jersey, the previous two shootouts have been dominated by the EVOs, and honestly all signs are pointing towards another blow out by the EVOs (although I could be wrong). If this happends (as is expected) then I'm starting to think that maybe the WRX/STi community just is not enough competetion, with that said how would the 350Zs and G35s hold up against the EVOs. Keep in mind that the EVOs with mods are very fast. In a short period of time in the USA, I know of (there could be many more) over 270 USDM EVOs that have ran 12.99 and faster, and around 80 USDM EVOs have ran 11.99 and faster and this list grows day by day. Would the 350Zs and G35s stand a chance, would it be a better matchup with the EVOs, would any of you accept such a challenge if it was offered to you? So what are your opinions on such a challenge?

 

Is this "challenge" just a drag racing challenge. If it was then if it were in California I would say its possible. Im going to get my 11 sec time slip tonight! However i dont think we have 80 going faster than 11.99. Maybe 10-20.

 

In a heads up drag race it would be tough for the Zs and Gs. I definitely do not know of that many 11.99 or better Zs... Even if so, the AWD Evos definitely still have an advantage with their killer launch.

 

well there are always track races that can be setup, those would more suit higher power Zsand Gs and take that awd launch away from the factor except for the start
