ran a 14.4 with a 2.3 60 ft...I think if I worked my 60 ft down to a 2.0 I'd be 14 flat.

Dyno's are horrible for estimates. They dont take wind resistance and spinning of the line into account. Local guy ran 13.0 @ 107mph on the dyno, he ran 13.4 @ 103mph @ the track, lol. Please dont ever tell anybody your dyno 1/4 times. <----Im trying to save you some embarassment

Ok ... this thread is getting revived. It seems like hardly any us roadster owners (BobbyRitz and Brent--BamBam are the only two I know of) track their car (1/4 mile). Well I'll be tracking it today and will post results.

Btw ... other than K&N filter my engines bone stock.

Disclaimer: I've never 1/4 any car before let alone my roadster | end Disclaimer.

Ok here's my times (Stock engine -- I removed my Unichip, with stock weight -- didn't remove my spare or jack) ... First two times down my clutch got stuck to the floor ... Somehow my ten years of driving manual totally went to sh*te. I waited about a half hour and thought I'd give it another try. Third run I p*ssy-footed the 60' to make sure my clutch was ok. Fourth run I actually went up against Kirk, needless to say he walked me. I royally missed 2nd gear. My last and only clean run felt good. I thinked I only lauched at like 1000 rpms so I know I can get near 2.00 on a 60'. Here's my slips. Track temp was 88 degrees (it felt cooler than that).

btw: I wasn't going for any kind of reaction time ... hence the dee duh dee 1+ second R/T

Me and Kirk (Kirkster -- Lemans Sunset)

Me against what I thought was a evo but it turned out to be a glorified lancer. If you look at most auto magazine 350Z roadsters are 1/4 @ 14.7. So I'm pretty happy with my last time ... but I know I can get a helluva lot closer to 14.

Default Is it the weight of my car.

I ran 14.73 with my roadster wieght 3450lbs at track 1/4 tank, without me in it. SSV plenum, High flow cats, Stillen Exhaust, JWT Pop charger.

That was my second visit ran 2-3 times each visit. My friend that ran a 14.5 in his stang took my car down the track and ran the exact same time.

Temp outside was 78

I am frustrated with my times is it the temperature, track or is it the weight?

Has anyone put there Z coupe on the scale with similar amount of fuel level?

I run at moroso in FL and from what I've seen at Moroso none turbo Z coupes similar mods run 14.2.

2.339 60' 9.593 1/8 top speed 95.63

I'm getting a TT but don't know if I should buy a Coupe to put it in?

Our cars are heavy and slow. Forced induction is a MUST if you want to see decient numbers. A TT with a good tune will result in good 1/4 times, not sure how quick you want to be. Some goals in our cars are unachievable.

107, I'm going back on 3/28/07 to try again. San Antonio Raceway, anybody want to join me? I can't get any local guys to go. I checked the tuner calculator, it said I should be getting 12.7~@whatever. Guess I need to improve my driving. Edit:13.4@105.71, went to look at my timeslips looks like my memory is not that good either.lol

If I get 12.9 I'll post a slip. If not I'll just be pissed off again.

Last year I ran a 14.5 bone stock. I had never been to the strip before, and didn't power shift at all. Now that I have a few mods I'll have to go see what she'll do...
