Perfect conditions, great DA, near sea level. The flying brick!
And before anyone calls BS, I know this guy, he's got a couple of fast cars and is one hell of a driver.

Yeah, personally I hate their looks. another case of a great motoer in search of a good looking car. The sRT8 Charger and Magnum are no better in the looks dept. IMO.
They need a 3700 pound decent looking 2 door body for that motor.

Those cars out putting down 370 PLUS to the wheels in an automatic..
I think there probaly closer to 450 crank HP....
The 2005 GTO is only dynoing 335-345 to the wheels in the mn6..I think it's closer to 390 crank HP than the 400 they advertise....Since most are lucky to see 340 rwhp...
340 rwhp plus 15% (rw drive mn6 standard)= 391 crank HP
Doing the math the same way for the SRT goes like this...
370 rwhp plus 20% (rw drive a4 standard) = 444 crank HP!!!!!
They are just plain sick....
A recent comparo in road and Track had the 2005 GTO running 13.7 at 103 and the SRT8 running 13.3 at 108 mph....
These were uncorrected numbers...
BTW...Chrysler already has a 3400 pound two door car with 450 HP...
It's called the 2002 Dodge Viper.

MT ran the SRT8 300C 2005 GTO & CTSV:
CTSV 13.1 @ 109.8
SRT8 13.2 @ 108.1
GTO 13.3 @ 107.5
The GTO does fine againt the SRT8 considering it's about $7k cheaper.

Both the SRT-8's and the GTO's are beasts, I looked at the GTO before I bought the Z, I just really wanted a convertable, and I dont regret my purchase. Now if I had 45K to spend on a car, it would be the SRT-8 all the way.

What tires was he running on?
Was he completely full weight (spare tire and all)?
Were the A/C and alternator pulleys on?
Did he ice the intake?
Were the airfilter and airbox still attached?
There are more than a few ways to "cheat" a bone stock car. I'm just curious as to how he's that much faster than the other guys out there. Sweet times either way.
