my 1/4 result
No problem, I know some tracks are much slower than others, as long as people are out to get better they will. Always work on leg speed, I hate seeing fast hands + bad timing + slow legs = weak shifting. Get em all down and you'll be good.
yeah there were lot of hardcord fixed up cars last night.. didnt seem to do toooo well.. most in the 13s or 14s.. seem like they would do much faster then that from the sound of it..
and KUNG PAO kicks LOL hahahahhahaha funny stuff
Hey charlie. .we should go there one of these days and race together. see what the out come is

Unless you're going FI real soon I would suggest the 3.917 ring & pinion gears. It's so much easier getting out of the hole I can't begin to tell you; it's so much more of just a pedal-swap thing rather than the delicate dance of feathering and just the right rpm and all. It will most definitely make up for the gearing loss of bigger wheels and extra weight too. It won't make much diff. on the dyno but on the street OMG! (5AT should benefit even more
)
I've been putting off going to the track until I could get my leaking Kinetix intake fixed by finally just replacing it w/ the stock top w/ new Revup lower plenum which I just did not long ago. I may go ahead and go w/i the next week or two but I was hoping to get a response first from Tadashi @ Technosquare as to whether the a/f ratio chart I just sent him indicated any room for improvement and if so I kinda wanted to do a re-reflash and maybe pickup a few more ponies before heading to the Track w/ da' Track.
[While putting the Revup on, I aldo put the MD Iso-Thermal Intake gasket on w/ Copper TB heater + bypass which made enought diff. to throw an IAT code at first (!) so I thought with all the above plus what Tony @ MD said, I might could possibly stand another reflash]
This is the third car I've put lower gears in and every one, every time, was the same "OMFG!"
reaction as to the before & after. Thankfully w/ the 6MT I've got more gears than I do road to run them on, so it's not like the first car I did this on that was only a 4-speed non-overdrive and it kinda sucked on the hwy. because it was almost like I had no 4th anymore, but around town, look out!
But on this Track Z & it's 6MT and Ultralight Rays 18's, with the lower gears from the good folks at 350evo, I only increase my rpm's at hwy. speeds of around 70-80 by maybe 350-400 rpm so it's not at all like completely giving up 6th gear or anything. But the results with the gears are sure to please all but those who have crossed over to the other/FI side, including those with big-*** bling wheels and/or excess weight they don't want to part with.
I did as BJ @ 350evo suggested and got him to build me a pumpkin w/ gears, LSD 'n all. I had a cool shop in Hot-Lanta put the pumpkin in, and I've got my entire, never-unassembled factory-stock pumpkin sittin' in my closet, waiting on the day I just can't stand it anymore and make the jump to the other side myself. Meanwhile, I'm having TMFF n/a thanks mostly to here again, the gears

Of course I guess you could say they're equally "high maintenence" in the sense that every time you turn around you're being called to address the insatiable urge to "buy her more! buy her more! She puts out soooooooo much better it's worth all the pain and suffering . . ."

You are truly pathetic and you are the one hurting the Z's image, dont get down on a guy that has ***** to run at the track. BTW anybody wanna see the numerous threads with this tools vid, look up his SN for a good laugh. I cant believe he even posts on here anymore let alone get down on other Z owners he was basically laughed off the forum.
I want to know because there's one real close to me that I'm thinking about going to in advance of the 1/4 mile track a little further down the road.
PS- I know you must be wondering why I haven't been to the track already, but I've had problems I had to take care of which were just resolved recently.
