No trying to start anything just want to compare since the G is slightly heavier then the Z.

 

Good driver in a Z 13.6-13.7, good driver in a G, 13.8-13.9, not much difference. You dont hear about G's as much because there are much more Z owners at the track then G owners...

 

Thats weird isnt the G like 200 or 300 pounds more then the z

 

200-300 pounds is about .3 sec slower in the quarter mile.

 

Depends who is driving. There are plenty of time slips in the drag racing forum.

 

With a Z-pipe (0 hp, nice noise though), my 03 G35 5AT sedan does 14.3-14.4s@97-98mph. My best time so far is a 14.32@97.79mph with a 2.15 60 foot. I've added a 5/16" spacer and I'm moving to Atlanta within the week. The tracks that I'll race at down there are at around sea level or about 800-900' lower than my track here in Kansas City. That should make a little difference.

i ran a 14.277 at 96mph with my z convertabile 6mt. bone stock. stock tires. 32 psi in rear tires, .6 r/t..

not bad with warm tires.. coulda done better
