I know that the times are not that good. Like I said this is the frst time at the track with this car. Do you think a 9.0-9.2 @ 80-83 is possable with my stock 17" wheels and no spare or jack? What do I need to do to improve? I was launching at about 3K, slipping the clutch. Weather was in the low 60's, about 25% humidity, and track is at about 800 Ft. elevation.

well man, those times are really slow. probably high 14s possibly mid 14s at best. if you are going to be worried about how fast your car is, you need to take out the system. Drag Racing - Less Weight = Faster Times
you definently need to get your launching down better also, iknow this was your first trip and practice makes perfect. so keep going, take out some weight and let us know how you do

My G sedan i had before the Z ran 14.2 bone stock, not one thing done to it, straight off the car lot. you should be trapping over a hundred easily with your mods and your car. so thats why i figure it must be the weight... good luck

Since this your first time racing, I wouldn't be to concerned about the times. With practice 2.0 60-foot times are possible. Just practice and work on your staging pad technique. Everything else will fall into place.

i ran my Z a few times on the 1/8th last year i usually ran 9.1's with a 79-80 trap speed. 60ft was around 2.12.
but my track is 1200ft above sea level and it was in the upper 70's-80's.
i did no box burnout and i was running regular tire pressure.
i quite dragging my Z because the last time i went up there my clutch stuck to the floor and wouldnt pop back up. and another time my CAI fell off. i took those as a sign to lay off before i screw something up.
but now i have a new intake set up with a MD plenum spacer so im sure on the right day i could hit a high 8.9 to mid to low 9.0 with lowered tire pressure. i think that would translate to a high 13.8 or so
