I went to the Import Face Off at Red River Raceway today just above Shreveport, LA. I ended up in the finals with a Civic hatch with a K20A2 RSX-S motor swap and DRs. He was qualifying with a 12.9 and a 13.0. I ended up getting him at the tree with a .186 R/T to his .334 (it was a Pro Tree: all 3 yellows at once then green). I pulled a 1.877 60' to his spinning 2.190. Got down the track sweating bulletts and won the race with a 13.252 @ 104.14 to his 13.209 @ 107.37. He was catching me quick, but I just a little too much of a lead at the start. I ran a total of 4 times today and the times came out as follows:

got my car running great now, utec is awesome, i broke my wideband the day i put my utec in so i didnt know how rich it was running until two days ago..... whew!!


tuner wb will be here friday and there is a big battle of the imports on sunday!! i hope to make a really good showing and hopefully grab some attention with a high 12 second all motor Z!!!!

Holy crap thats and awesome run. Did you feel significant gains from your Y Pipe and how do you gut the stock cats, did you feel any power gain from that as well?

I’m particularly impressed with your race against #38: 2 equally capable cars. And you take the win by 1/10 second. Damn good driving.

 

yeah i am not sure yet if i am going wed or friday now, i might be leaning towards friday cause i get my tuner wb then and i will be able to log a few runs and dial it in perfect. i also broke off a wheel stud last wed and need to fix that really fast, i might actually do that tonight...

i am 100% running at the battle of the imports this sunday!! you should come out...
