Went to the track (Byron) Saturday with a few of my fellow Cobra buddies and some GTO guys and there was a sweet looking silver G35 there with a SC on it.

It wasn't that fast (trapping 103 or so), but it was a pretty car in total street trim. The thing that was cool and really caught my attention was that the blower was screaming louder than all our Cobras.

Very nice ride.

 

What did it run? Prolly a Stillen S/C...

 

I wanna say 13.5-13.7, but all I remember for sure was seeing 103mph pop up on the board.

I'm still in shock at how loud the blower was. I really wish I would have videotaped it.

 

I should have gone to byron on saturday. I went to Us41 only to find out they cancelled the track day because it rained for about 5 minutes at like 8am... I was furious.

Yep, sounded like that except @ 6000+ rpms ripping down the track.

 

Every SC'd Z I've ever seen at the track has been like that. I don't know what is with these guys and their driving skills. I saw a stage 2 or 3 stillen auto Z back in the fall that trapped like 101-102 lol.

 

I ran a 13.2 with an auto g35 with an intake and TP with resinators. and i spun a little bit more than wanted to out of the gate. a SC should put out a lower time. IMO.

 

I thought this was advertised as quieter than your average roots blower.

doens't make much sense to me that a s/c car making 40+whp more only traps a couple more mph faster in the 1/4 than a lightly modded Z

 

ooooooh i see. you ran the 1/4 kilometer not the 1/4 mile. now it makes sense. shoulda been more clear. you crazy Infiniti drivers and your ATs.
either that, or you've completely gutted a perfectly nice car and turned it into a G35 shell with an engine.
