Default New guy lookin for some Info...

Hey, kinda new to the forum. I just recently purchased a 03 Track Z with 13,000 km on it. Love the car to death, the style and the attention it gets and how tight it is in the corners.

I'v been playin around with some launches recently, and noticed that when I hammer on it in first and let it do a burn out, my shift **** starts to jump all over the place, like realy high vibrations. I'v never experienced this on any of my other cars when I did a heavy burn out. Is it because of the rear wheel drive? Is this normal?...

I'v never owned a rear wheel drive car before....

Any info would be appreciated.

Thx. Whoopazz.

Likely wheel hop, but some drivetrain vibration is normal...try feathering the clutch more, dont just dump it.

yes and wheel hop is why everyone breaks stuff in the rear of the car. more likely to break axles on the street with drag radials than on the track with slicks cause of the wheel hop...

the best launch possible is to find that point between the tires spinning and the car bogging. keep working at it

Ok cool, thx for the info. I was thinking about this all day, and I was wondering if it could be wheel hop, and now I know.

Thx again.

any time your car wheel hops, it is best to let off the gas. my car only does it in the rain for some reason...
