It's probably a "good deal" as far as the money you'd be paying vs. the money the setup would cost if you bought the wheels and tires separately (assuming new tires). However I know absolutely nothing about those tires, and they don't appear to be exactly the sweetest drag racing tread pattern I've ever seen. They look like they belong on a never raced deuce coupe at a hot rod show, or on the back of an 83 camaro in a trailer park because the NASCAR hat wearing owner thinks they look "cool."

Of course I could be completely wrong... but I've never noticed them on any car at the drag strip.

Good deal. There are 2 versions of that wheel one is 13lbs other is 16lbs, both very light. If you have Brembos Im not sure if they clear if not go for it.

The 94 wheels are 16 lbs.

The year of manufacture is stamped on the wheel. If it says 92 or 93, than it is 13lbs. 94 is 16 lbs.

I weighed mine to be sure, even though one said 92 and the other said 93.

Those tires will squirm, if you run radials up front. Just a heads up.

If traction is your primary concern over price, I would look elsewhere.

I would go with some Hoosiers or ET Streets. Those are OK on the street where no heating is required, crappy on the strip.

Just my $.02

The guy told me they were soft so im guessing heating them up would get them sticky enough to launch hard

I don't think the seller classifying the tire as "soft" is the best way to choose drag tires but that's completely up to you.

I know they r not the best selection of tires for drag racing but if they r soft and when i heat them up i can launch the car harder then my goal is made im just looking for better traction also when this go to waste ill just get the MT real DR's. Ill see what ill do becouse now their is another guy with some 93 rx7 wheels with the real MT DR's selling them for 400 i think shipped already and the tires r brand new

Well, it sounds like you're sold.

I would 100% go with the other set. (MT DR's)

The Sportsmans only get greasy when heated, not sticky.

i cut plenty of low 1.7s on those tires. I would spin to that 60'...it was great. I liked them myself
