Anyone break axles with drag radials on a 5AT?

hell, my 265 40 DRs will hook on the street in first gear when i launch right

cool man, looks like you were actually still in the water box when you did them, i would get them wet and then move up about 5 to 10 feet. you might be throwing water all up in your fenders and all over.

Traction control etc off of course. I let it go up right before it hits the rev limiter and hold it there. As you can hear I hit the rev limiter a few times going up to the stage. I had a lot on the line for that race, so I wasn't sweating the details. I needed to make sure the tires were clean.
BTW: those were street tires. You hear you shouldn't do that, but pilot sports stick pretty good if they are toasted a bit.
you should try a second gear burnout with those drag radials, make sure the tires are really wet, that way you can get them spinning and just chill at 75% throttle about 5 to 6 grand and not bangin that rev so much!!!

what was on the line for that race bragging rights, money or both? what mods did the civic have? What was your time in that race and your best 1/4 time?

I have no idea wht he had in it, but it still sounded loud in the video when it was at the end of the race. Infineion has a sound threshold and I don't know how he got by without being thrown out. I think it is like 105 decibles and they measure it at the starting line.

Obviously there are events like the Fram Nationals and the NASCAR and Indy car races and they shake the ground. So the track tries to be a good nighbor and limits sound during the Weds night drags.
It is a Lowes track so eventially the neighbors will have to learn to live with it. Lowes is currently putting 300 million into the Las Vegas Speedway and they have already started to put money into Infineon. it will end up being a much larger track.
Interesting thing happened there tonight. The CHP came in looking for non CARB (Calif air resouce board) approved speed parts and running VIN numbers. The idea of the Weds night drags is to cut down on street racing. you can even race cops there. this will drive the high school kids and some adults back to street racing. Stupid!!
