you will bog NA if you heat them right... then just keep adding air till you have that perfect launch.

hell, my 265 40 DRs will hook on the street in first gear when i launch right

I have only run them once, so we will see. I went from 30#,24# 20# and 18# with no bog and if you press burn I did burnouts much longer than that. No bog yet.

cool man, looks like you were actually still in the water box when you did them, i would get them wet and then move up about 5 to 10 feet. you might be throwing water all up in your fenders and all over.

Yeah I back in and creep out of the box a bit now when I light them up then continue most of the way up the the stage. But I heated those DR's good enough to throw rubber up into the fender wells.

That is drag racing. I have had rear ends explode, twisted off drive shafts, axles etc. I'm really experinced at breaking $hit.

Nice!! What gear did you do your burnout in MM? Did you remove the brake fuse or do anything else? I want my 5at to burnout at the track just like that if possible to warm up my DRs.

First gear with the fuse out. The strange thing is that I used to be able to do that with the fuse in but when I changed my brakes I couldn't do it anymore.
Traction control etc off of course. I let it go up right before it hits the rev limiter and hold it there. As you can hear I hit the rev limiter a few times going up to the stage. I had a lot on the line for that race, so I wasn't sweating the details. I needed to make sure the tires were clean.

BTW: those were street tires. You hear you shouldn't do that, but pilot sports stick pretty good if they are toasted a bit.

you should try a second gear burnout with those drag radials, make sure the tires are really wet, that way you can get them spinning and just chill at 75% throttle about 5 to 6 grand and not bangin that rev so much!!!

what was on the line for that race bragging rights, money or both? what mods did the civic have? What was your time in that race and your best 1/4 time?

A trophy from Infineon, a set of drag radials for winning the Z Car Garage Drag Series (a whole season of racing) and pride. It was a great race. We both broke out. I had a dial of 13.90 and turned 13.85 he had a 13.95 and turned a 13.84 and I smoked him at the line. It looks like a heads up race but I gave him a head start, but he had a bad reaction time. 1.20 or something like that and I hit a .003

I have no idea wht he had in it, but it still sounded loud in the video when it was at the end of the race. Infineion has a sound threshold and I don't know how he got by without being thrown out. I think it is like 105 decibles and they measure it at the starting line.

It is now surrounded by high roller vineyards that have complained about the noise even though Sears Point (Infineon) has been ther for many many years.
Obviously there are events like the Fram Nationals and the NASCAR and Indy car races and they shake the ground. So the track tries to be a good nighbor and limits sound during the Weds night drags.

It is a Lowes track so eventially the neighbors will have to learn to live with it. Lowes is currently putting 300 million into the Las Vegas Speedway and they have already started to put money into Infineon. it will end up being a much larger track.

Interesting thing happened there tonight. The CHP came in looking for non CARB (Calif air resouce board) approved speed parts and running VIN numbers. The idea of the Weds night drags is to cut down on street racing. you can even race cops there. this will drive the high school kids and some adults back to street racing. Stupid!!

I see what they were doing by checking for CARB legal parts, but wow, thats just brave. Kinda sucks in a lot of ways.

Is it smarter to try to cut down some POSSIBLE pollution or is it better to have kids racing on the street killing themselves and other people. I don't get it.
