Default davidv vs new Mustang

Mustang in right lane.

Runs 13.81 seconds.

Runs 13.87 seconds on a 13.80 dial-in for a WIN (white light at top of timing tower).

I didn't race the Mustang exactly. I was in a different class so I didn't get a chance. My best run was 13.80.

The first round I got a red-light.

David that was probably a bone stock GT, given the times the car ran.

LOL. For some strange reason my tread wear is poor. Very poor. Is there a TSB about that?

Hmm.. I went to a drag strip here in Texas couple of days ago. I, too, raced a 06 Mustang GT with intake. We went head to head 5 times. I had ran 6 times before I raced the GT, which started out by racing me first. The GT beat me twice (I lost one by .07 seconds and I lost again because I forgot to turn off VDC) and I beat it 3 times.

One thing I noticed was that the Mustangs suffer seems to suffer from heat soak much faster than our cars. I ran my car 15 times (7th - 11th with this GT) consecutively while the GT only ran 5 times. My times were consistent, while GT's times slowed gradually each time.

I have'nt had the chance to race a new mustank in my area yet. All I see at my track are 90's models or older rebuilt ones. Yea, red lights suck. Better luck next time.

I ran a stock 2006 Mustang GT 5 speed, in not so good conditions, and I just barely edged him out. Those things hook great with just a stock set up.

I ran a 13.4 to his 13.6.
