OK, you cant hold the brake down to launch the car above 2500. You can slightly let off the brake to do a burnout all the way up to the rev limiter.

people are so confused in this thread
we are talking about a power braking technique not how high the revs can go over all. You dont want tire spin at the line whil waiting for the tree.
try placing it in neutral, revving the motor so the brake pressure allows you to push the brake further in. Then while holding brake down, place in gear and stall the converter as high as possible.
Try this or a flash technique:
Stage very shallow, apply only enough brake to stop the car from moving. light turns grean drop brake and hit gas simultaneously.

I guess all I am saying is, even without the fuse, you can't rev to 4k rpm without the wheels spinning. So, with or without the fuse you cant launch above 2500-2800. The fuse only helps with the burnout to warm the tires.
