Thanks for asking but that is a long time ago. The OP is asking about launching technique, and I just wanted to show that, with practice, 2.0 seconds is possible on street tires.

The 12:04 and 1:43 PM time slips are just practice: I use those to get a dial-in. The important time slip is the second round of eliminations at 5:13 PM: #1984 spots me 2.52 seconds. #1984 beats me by 11/100 seconds for a win. He stays for another round - I go home.

We talk about ET ET and ET. ET is cool but does not win races. A winning racer is consistent not fast.
