Default Drag Section in a slump...

well, it seems like everyone is currently building thier monsters!! This winter is going to be some ground breaking breakthroughs for sure, i can feel it...

looking like in the next month or two, 4 to 5 fast *** Zs will be making some headlines!!

cant wait.....

i will need about a month to get the car back from getting the 8 point in, then a few weeks to get everything running perfectly and fully retuned

Hell yeah there will be! Looking forward to dealing with you on my DPN set-up. I feel it'll be a tad original on a Z and look forward to putting down some major torque. I think for people in Florida like us the objective is to get the car done by the end of October so you have about four months of 50-60 degree weather to pull some good times.

well, NA is all about weight, you got to get that power to weight ratio down, driving counts as a lot as self proclaimed "1320 God" mentioned. i mean some simple bolt ons, a utec, lightened car, ported heads, cams, some high compression.... it could run low 12s easily, with much respect!! possibly even high 11s with a hell of a launch!!!

i think low 12's with only boltons is possible with a 3k race weight. 2v mustang guys do it in awesome weather

jeremy, your car was trapping like 105 in the heat here. a little lighter, full exhaust, perfect gearing and tuning with slicks and skinnies and i think its there in good weather. the next most impressive thing is stock short block ets, so maybe just some head porting and cams.

then strap some 28's on the car and a 150 kit and go 10's on the stock block.

then get even crazier and put a nice manual valve body trans with a big stall and spray that

I took a break during July and August because of the heat. The effects on the car is no big deal, I just do not do well spending 8 plus hours in the sun.

Interesting that we have not seen any time slips from new racers in a long time. There is no rule that you must be forced induction to drag race.

Kudos on your choice for your cage. They did my cage as well, along with a ton of other stuff. I was there yesterday having a bung welded into my intake pipe for the nitrous shot to spool the new turbo and saw your 350z there.

I look forward to seeing you at the track when you are up and running again

I have another drag day coming up in mid-September. I'm aiming for another 22-25 runs. There is still some tread left on the POS Nittos, so I'll be sure to take care of that.

Personally, and this is just me, but I'm more impressed with a low 11 second street Z than say a 9 second race car.
