One drag race for $1000 bucks, bet.
Ok well I am down here in TX (my hometown), but I used to be up in the D.C area where I see 350Z's all the time. But now that I live down here in TX I never see them (mostly fords and chevys) I go to the San Antonio raceway the other night and I see one N/A 350z. Anyways My car is up in MD right now over at AAM. I had to move out of the area due to military move and had to leave my car in the shop waiting for an engine build and A PETT kit. Anyways im down here and my little brother tells ppl about my car and that I will be getting it at the end of the month. Now I have this one guy challanging me for $1000 bucks and I have never even talked to him. All I know is he has a stock Trans am(I think). No one down here in this area have ever seen a fast 350z, you hardly see them out in the road. So should I race this guy? I will keep everyone update on this.

I will find out more about his ride in the coming week. My little bro works with him at his hobby shop.
UPDATE:
Well my little bro just got off of work and he tells me that the guy is not FI just a bigger block pushing 520hp. I am not to sure I really believe this.

just to let you know the texas guys like their muscle cars if its all motor without juice then run him but you must be pushing around 600 rwhp but if he has nitrous dont even try that thing will leave you in the past. Personally i have seen lots of videos and read lots of threads on texas and their cars and mostly they have chevy or ford on juice so be very careful find everything out try to find out n see what he does in the 1/4 mile.

You're just in the wrong part of Texas. I dropped my car off at the shop last week and I saw at least 8 TT 350Zs. As for the TA...those guys never tell the truth (especially in TX). Better assume he's sprayin.

I could not agree more.
I don't know anyone who does not have a "completely" done car that will bet 1,000 on a race. They would use the money for parts to put in the car.
I would seriously rethink the race.

+1 Dont do it..
Well I think the guy is all talk. I wont take his bet now but $1000 bucks is very tempting. I think he might go to the wed's test and tune night. If he's not in low 12's I think I can take him, and I will be checking for any kind of spray I know he has slicks, and some kind of suspention. I can tape it and post up next week on his ride.
I highly recommend you do a couple of passes your self to see what you can run. Launching a Boosted Z the right way takes some skill. (not to say that I have that skill yet) I keep getting better times every time I go to the track, so it might take you a while to get used to your new setup.
