Track
I am just trying to get some guesses here. I'm heading to the track in about 2 weeks. The temps should be around 70....give or take. With my mods(including the 19" wheels) and a 100 shot, any guesses on my 1/4 mile times? I'm thinking low 13's??????????
On stock 17's I gained .2

if you have experiance and good tires i would say low 12's. But i see you have 19's on KDW's which means street tires, which means slipping all over the place. I think you'll hit a 13.0 flat by the end of your night.
Good luck dude

Thanks for the input as I have no idea what to expect nor do I want to be disappointed either. I do drive a 5AT and i'm pretty experienced but my previous best on 17" stock is 14.3 but that was in 90 degree temps. I'm going to the track this friday with the stock 17" and a 100 shot. I will be getting a reflash/tune in the next month or so, that will definately lower times as well. I'm having a breathing mod issue as I feel I've not gained any RWHP due to the mods......until I get tuned. I'll post time slips soon....
This is a dumb question, WAY to many variables to predict. I will say this though, if I ran 100 shot and wasnt 12's Id be dissapointed...people have run anywhere from 12.1-13.2 on 100 shot, dont be on the bad end of the spectrum, good luck.
Thanks for the pressure Alberto.....lol. I don't know how it will run as I was very disappointed with my NA times of 14.2 with my mods, although it was in the 90's. I'll post this weekend after the run.
Heat has barely had any effect on my traps... At a drag day event earlier this summer, racing started at 9am when the temps were mid-60s. 4 hours later, temps soared to 100+ on the track. My trap speeds were still the same...But, after 6 consecutive hard runs down the quarter mile in the 100+ degree heat, my trap speed did drop by 1-2 mph--my ETs were also 0.1s to 0.2s slower. The intake manifold was HOT--you'd get 2nd degree burns if you touched it...All I'm saying is that from those facts right there, heat doesn't affect ETs/traps that much. It's most likely even less apparent in NA applications. If anything, elevation plays a bigger role in ET/traps than heat.
I think you need to really focus on nailing the launch--look at the times that Alberto and Audible Mayhem have pulled off with just boltons. If they had a 100shot at the time, they'd probably have a better time than my best with a TT...
It's not what you have on your car for modifications, it's how well you drive it.

My personal best with street 17" has been......
1/4 - 14.3
R/T - .53(.500 is perfect here)
60' - 2.16
98 MPH
I drive an auto so I tend not to miss to many gears....lol. I truel need a tune bad!
