went to the track today took the pass seat out and ran
.788 r/t
1.93 60'
5.55 330
8.53 1/8
82.65 mph

13.25 1/4
102.82 mph

hopefully, my exhaust and a good tune will get me there. if not, i need the 11 lb batt, light seats, tranny valve job. there is too much time loss between shifts.

Congrats, lighten it up some more. My 14.1 (with a 2.3 launch) got me a 23 mph gain in the last 1/8 mile...you're only getting 20mph. Get exhaust, and 11lb battery...

Also, why dont u have the SPACER?.. It will improve your last 1/8 mph and give u better top end!

That is the best NA Auto time I have ever seen!

BTW, do you shift 3 or 4 times with that 3.5 rear end?

i've still got to get my exhaust on it and get it to Sharif to get it tuned. If that doesn't give me a quarter second, i'll go with a stall.
Have there been any other NA autos in the 12's?

this is the drag forums. I have to hit 4th now

.3 to get into the 12's isnt going to be easy(i dont like to say it wont happen). you are going to need one really strong mod to do it. im still thinking a stall will be the only way. the tune and exhaust are only going to get you going down the track a little quicker. the 12 second slip will probably only happen for you with a better short time(im 99% sure on this). i have pulled 1.8s on street tires and trapped 105+ and still only ran 13.0s. its all in the short times.

short times? the first 1/8 ?
I'm still not tuned right up top. I think i'm hearing detonation in third over 5800rpms. It's skipping up top also. If, i get it tuned right, hopefully that will get me 1/10 and the exhaust half of that. And the Torque converter will put me under 13. also i'm going to dump the poop charger and go back to stock, feels like it runs better.

The feeling is deceiving. It will run quieter and smoother, but move less air.

I would leave it in.

dump the Kinetix plenum and get Mrev2 and 1/2 spacer (remove strut bar u dont need it plus it will save weight) and get that tuned. Remove passenger seat always, replace driver's with Sparco, get lighter Ti exhaust, get 11lb battery = 13.0s!

slicks arent going to help a car that cant flash the converter high enough or have a high clutch dump

his problem is not spinning, its that it doesnt have the power to pull it out of the hole to a 1.7

a converter will put him immediately into the powerband and a VB would quickin his shifts.

doing like 3 more mods might add 2 mph and make the car run 13.0s at 104 and maybe 1 day a 12.99 but 12.99 once isnt really that sweet when you spend 90% of your other passes in the 13s.

changing boltons you have already done is a waste of money

tell me about it, in my old 01 gt vert i was running 13.0s consistently. the day it finally broke into a 12.9 it went:

13.010
13.007
13.001
13.192
12.997

damn man, thats a good ET with a 102.xx trap. kinda weird cause usually the car will just get a really good launch to do that. but you only had a 1.9

and the car is picking up 20 in the last 1/8th, damn autos and their endless 4th gear...
