Default Stock clutch sucks!!!!

I know that this isn't totally the right fourm but I wanted to see what clutch kits are you guys useing and how you like them. I just got back from the track and mine stuck so bad it the pedal took 5-6 sec to come back up. Gotta love an 11sec 1/8mile run. I'm running drag radials and can't launch over 4000rpms with out this happening so it's time for a new kit.

BTW I'm running a 100shot and was thinking about using an ACT kit since i'm a dealer for them and have had good luck on other cars.

100 shot, radials and 11s in the 1/8. Something definitely sounds off.

No no thats not normal the clutch stuck and never let lose thats why the time. I was running without nitrous tonight 8.90s before it started sticking on the third run. I thought about trying a higher rpm and slipping the clutch a bit might get a better 60ft. Anyways off the line I just blew the tires off hit the rev limiter then when I tried to short shift my pedal went down but never came back up till after a few sec. The sad part is I still won against a civic..

I really liked the JWT Clutch/Flywheel combo, it held up well at over 450whp and it was great for daily driving.

yeah, and JWT uses a stock nissan clutch

stock clutch is great to me, why would it be sticking? is that an issue with the clutch design or is there actually a defect possibly? I've dragged my car alot and never had the clutch pedal stick down, what causes this?

but I am getting a ACT flywheel along with the exedy clutch that comes in the car.

the JWT clutch is not a stock clutch, its an organic disc clutch which appears similar to stock but made of a slightly different compound and will not wear down as fast.

i have the JWT flywheel, but I have the Z32 TT ACT clutch...the JWT flywheel has the bolt pattern for both and the Z32 TT clutch is a little bigger than the Z33 clutch. I'm holding 430 lbs of torque just fine.

what year is your Z? I've been running 390-400whp and around 400 ft-lbs daily on my Z for 20k miles, with almost 60k on the car, all on the stock clutch, without a slip......mind you the 03's have a beefier clutch stock (well, the PP has stronger clamping force)

I drive a 05. I didn't have any problems when i'd launch at 3800-4000. I would preload then quickly let out not quite a side step. I wanted to try slipiping it at a higher rpm since i'm on drag radials and the sticking is the result.

No clutch only.. you can get a pressure plate for around $125.00. I think $50 is reasonable.

Thats the thing it's not slipping it's sticking. I've seen it happen in the newer mustangs but it's never happened to me. I don't think that dumping it is a problem I just think if your slipping it off the line it gets heated to quick.
