Default Went to the 1/4 mile track...finally :)

This was the last event of the year, so I figured I would test out the new setup.

Tuned to 650whp on the Dyno Dynamics, so probably 700whp+ on a typical dynojet at 19.5psi boost and C18

My track setup consisted of bolting on the 295/18 BFG Drag Rad's, and airing the tires down to 15psi. Full interior, and stock 6MT

Vehicle Weight: 3505lb with me in the car.
Race Track: Silver Dollar Raceway, Reynolds, GA

With the DR's, the best I could muster was a 11.47@132mph
I took it pretty easy...gently shifting, and mild launch, as I didnt want to break my trans. I am pretty sure that slicks are going to be needed for 10's. My 60ft admittedly suck, but I am getting more consistent, which is good!

Special thanks to Alberto for the racing tips.

Man, that car has to be a blast to drive. 102+ in the 1/8th! I can't wait for some more power of my own.

"Granny shifting, not double clutching like you should..."

Good Job... You're definitely leaving 3-4 tenths on the table with your 60' – and certainly understand and respect the fact that you do not want to trash your trans...

You are in the 130+mph range now...thats awesome Sharif, and 11.57 is a great time for "taking it easy" lol.

btw, I'm no real drag racer either, the last time I was at the track was the last time you were at the track up in Rockingham

I didnt know they let you drive down the track in reverse. I want ride you to much since you did say you were "taking it easy" I say you could shave 1/2 second off that easy with that kinda power.

Hard to compare my rotary times since my rx7s were so much lighter but I would run 10.90s with a 575 hp old gt all day.

Like I told you man, that is nothing to be "ashamed" of, the trap speed is nasty for the cars weight, and 650+whp is hard to put down on DR's especially for somebody who doesnt drag a lot. Next season I will make sure you hit your ET goals Sharif, I'll send you a little something

I was there and he was defiantly taking it easy. Sounded like you were short shifting and back halving the track. With that kind of trap speed I would imagine that you could do 10.50’s. It was nice to finally meet you in person. Any how your car looked awesome and runs awesome as well.

Nice run considering the tires and crappy short time. Certainly mid-high 10 second potential there, but it seems like you're closer to 600 rwhp than 700 rwhp considering your weight and trap speeds.

With that MPH, some MT DRs might get you into the 10's as is (even granny shifting).

131 MPH is crazy for a 350Z. Impressive.

That trap just shows, how nasty his car would be from a roll on the highway.

nice job, slicks will give you a better time for sure, it might hurt you mph depending on the amount of spin you had in first couple gears, i hit 102 1/8th at 15.8 psi, i wish my clutch wasnt slipping, i would love to go over 16 psi at the track, plus that was on my 93 octane map....

and my car is a lot lighter though...

bring some money $$$$ down to "The Run" with ya when you come....

maybe we can take over what the title of the event stands for, of course i will have my TH in cause i am not having in clutch issues, but to make it fair, i will spot you 3 psi....

Very nice Sharif!

You must have been taking it really really easy on the shifts. A 1.9 60' and a 131 trap should be low 11's. Before long, you are definately breaking into the 10's. Gratz!
