i have several 1.7's but they were done after i pulled the 1.5. the car was lightened up a bit though with no carpet, drained fuel tank, no pass seat, nothing in the rear of the car after the rear sway bar (bare metal)
The car bogged each 1.7 60ft i did because the slicks were too hot for the amount of power i was pushing. I cant duplicate because 1. altered atmosphere messed it up and 2. i sold it because im away at school. even if you dont want to count that run my 12.9's still put me at the top. grow up already.

Either that or the timing lights messed up and it never really happened.

I launch my car with near a full dump on slicks with DOUBLE the power you had, I dead hook with zero bogging and pull mid 1.6 60's...there is no way in sam hell that a N/A 350z is going to pull a real 1.5....

Audible has nearly triple the power...on 28in slicks and he just barely breaks into the 1.5s...

There's a reason your 1.5 was never duplicated by yourself or anyone else, it's NOT POSSIBLE.

lol you guys are really reaching with the snow-tire thing... I've run on snow tires on a couple of occasions and let me tell you this - they didn't hook - the entire track... I was spinning a good (not worn out) set of snow tires in 4th gear at the 1000' mark with alot less power than I have now...

If you guys disallow something as stupid and NON performance enhancing as a freaking snow tire, then everyone who took their spare tire out of their car, the jack, changed their oil to a non-stock weight or brand, oil filter to a non- stock filter, put a shift **** on their car, better fess up and admit they weren't really "showroom stock."

You are absolutely dreaming if you think that your 1.5 was a legitimate short time. If it wasn't a piece of debris that tripped the lights or some other timing error, then you probably staged with your rear tires which I've seen happen, and seen result in the same sort of unbelievable and completely impossible 60', and also why your 1/4 mile time was also .2 seconds quicker than all your other ones. You haven't even come CLOSE to backing up that time, and you never will on a legitimate run, because it's not possible. The end.

ha ok i guess it was a fluke, but you cant prove it wrong, i have a couple 350z board members who saw me run that time and can vouch that nothing funny was up with the run. As far as staging with the rear tires, i have made enough passes to realize where my car is compared to the staging lights. also my trap was higher on that run slightly as well which cannot be blamed in any way on an error in the lights at launch.

Let us know when you back up that 60' - or come within a tenth of it even...

I think it would good to note (but not actually rank by) what type of tires the run was on. Street/DR/Slick

This is about as big of a factor as what kind of power adding mods were installed for the run.

yeah, i am not trying to start stuff but i would like to see it backed up, i made some nice all motor launches and pulled a few 1.70s, that was dead hooking with a perfect launch. i have launched on a 150 shot with 26 inch slicks and pulled a nice 1.63, now i am on 28 inch slicks with a 50 dry shot with no bottle warmer revving it to 6000 on 14 psi (turbos) and pulled a couple 1.5s, i honestly dont see it possible you out launcing me NA, actually i am going to just say that there must have been something wrong.

if you could just feel the difference in a 1.70 launch and a 1.57 launch, its insane. cant wait to get the auto and transbrake running...

Like all of us, I race with cars that have 1.5X second 60-foot times. They are 10.X and 11.X second cars.

Default 13.8 @ 101mph

My best so far is 13.8 @ 101mph in 90 degree heat. I haven't made a pass yet this winter so I hope to improve on that time a little. I wonder where I rank in the 5AT NA/Bolt-on class?

In my humble opinion, if you were able to pull a few low 1.6 60fts then I would believe the single 1.5x 60ft as a lucky "perfect" launch. However there is quite a big disparity between consistent 1.7x and a single 1.5x.

I had once received a time slip that said I got a 1.2x 60ft in my 300ZX. I was staged properly with the front wheels, and all the numbers at the 1/8 and 1/4 were consistent with that 60ft time. From the outside it looked like a legit run. But it was clearly a timing error, most likely the system did not trip until the rear wheels crossed the start line.

Is it a coincidence that I don't see any rev-up or 06 models on the lists? I remember debating whether or not to splurge on the track edition with its 13 more horsepower; I figured that by now someone would be running decent times.

I think that the answer is relevant to the age of the 350Z. Take for instance the 2003 350Z. Owners have had 4 years to modify their car, and practice racing. And practiced racers turn out the best numbers.

Still I would like to see one 2006 in the stock class.

As long as it's done, I'm happy. I was gettin tired of people mistakingly, or maybe not, comparing street tire times to sticky tire times. Also, the people that have those drag racing tires, don't like to add that when they tell you their times, neither.
