Yup i'm on street tires (All season continentals), I wish I had DRs but than that would defeat the purpose of me being 100 % stock. I want to hit a couple figures in total stock before I move onto the next step. It was nice seeing everyone, I had an awesome time

I am definitely glad I made the trek to Cecil today (took me an hour and a half) but it was worth it.. I destroyed my old PB... I was hot lapping like crazy by the end of the day trying to pull off a 12.5 closest I got was a 12.612 @ 111.12mph with a 1.918 60 foot (street tires) anyway catch you guys at the next track event
Yeah 12.6 @111 is pretty awesome. I was hot lapping all day too, I was doing better every run so I was craving for more. lol the lady at the slip booth was like you should calm down you will blow up your car, I said something stupid, I was like no this is a foreign car HAHA. Yeah i'm happy with my traps I trapped 107 consistently and started getting consistent 13.4s after i figured out the clutch drop. Even though I was not happy with the 13.4 and my 2.1-2.2 60 foots I am more than pleased with the 107 traps especially my 13.4@107.77 run haha! It was pretty neat racing you, lol you whipped my ***. I'm hoping one day i'll break my 13.3 record and get a 13.2. I'm done for the season so I'll be seeing you guys in Spring! time to get back to school and let me car cool off from all the hot laps lol

Did you change anything on your car since your 12.8 run? Nice time BTW.

Cecil is just that fast meng......I think I might actually take the car down and see if I can get 1 or 2 clean runs one of the coming weekends. I just need one pass..........lol. I haven't even started the damn thing in 2 weeks.

Franky.....your best 60' was a 2.1?

Wish I could have made it. My check engine light came on last night and I didnt want to ride all the way up there to run crappy times. Mysteriously it just went off tonight weird. Congrats on the new PB's.

lol yeah I was pretty much getting a lot of 2.1s I might gotten a 2.08 maybe but I think my 2nd gear crunched on that one and didn't engage so that run went down the drain. Yup I would say 2.1 is best sadly kind of explains the 13.4s I was getting.{ In total at Cecil I had 20 runs, if anyone wants to go to Cecil go on a Saturday when it's $35 bucks NEVER EVER go when it's a Wednesday or Friday or when it's $15 bucks. You get crappy cars on cheap days that literally break down every 5 mins thus leaving you with 3-4 runs the whole day. I even saw a stock MINIVAN run a quarter mile once, I just stood there like guys what the hell?)

C5 and Frank, it was nice meeting up and talking with you guys. It was cool to see David stop by with the new car, even if it was only for 10 mins.

Track prep was better than usual, and the weather and wind was a great recipe for good runs. Unfortunately, the best I could muster was a 13.47 @ 107.87, nothing worth talking about... I had a terrible time finding traction at the launch, as well as in first and second gear when under full throttle. I found this very odd and when I got home, I stuck my head under the car to find out that there is no tread left on my stock Bridgestone's. 11K miles and they are toast. The stockers on my last Z lasted the same exact amout of mileage, so I shouldn't be as surprised as I am now.

My little brother ran his PB with this FC RX-7 (modded but still on stock turbo) with a 13.31 @108.46--still room for inprovement there, but he was excited.

Damn, I'm so jealous of you guys. There's rarely a time when somebody I know will come to the drag strip with me. I'm not even going to get into it about the negative DA. Sounds like you guys had fun and ran some pretty decent, if not awesome, times. Congrats.

Okay thank you! I wanted to address one issue with you, I have Continental tires in the rear they are street all season tires. From what I heard supposedly because of them i'm possibly not classified as 100 % stock?... I thought Continentals were OEM or I thought street tires would be Stock.
If you could please let me know about that because this is my first time on this forum. Plus I posted my 13.3 time slip in the previous page those were numbers off my 350z factory tires if you would be kind enough to post that time. I had no idea All season street tires made a car classified as not stock. If that is the case all 13.4 times from the track yesterday were off those all season rear tires and the modded bmw 335 vs me were too. Thank you!

If you changed anything on the car to something that did not come from the factory, then you're no longer classified as "100% stock." That means your previous times are not eligible to be listed under that list, but under our bolt-ons list.

And no offense, but you really need to stop magically finding these faster slips. Don't submit the time slips unless you know that was the best run you made thus far, because this is already the 3rd time just for you on two different lists now.

Since you keep finding these faster times somehow, I'd like to see other time slips from the day that you ran the FASTEST time (same as this one) for verification. I need to see matching track (MIR), same date (6/21/09), similar time (11:11am), and same racing number (729). Not only is it for verification, it's also to make more sense. You somehow ran a faster time with faster trap in the summer than you did with negative DA at the end of November.

Since I'm having to update the list, here are my 2 best time slips from the day when my clutch gave out (also attaching my previous 2 PB runs from May). As I stated earlier, everything was going wrong on these runs, but it still is interesting to look at. Plus, the 12.288@107.12 run is faster than my previous PB of 12.330@111.69mph. You can see how easy the 12.1 or 12.0 would've been if I had enough fuel or had a working clutch.

Well now I have cheap Continental All season tires, At that time I had OEM (All summer performance tires). The only reason why I keep pulling 13.4s is because there's something wrong with my transmission I have to rip through to engage into second gear which definately slows me down and even had me mis shift atleast 3-4 runs yesterday, any way excuses aside, I will look for more time slips for the same day around that time, I'm sure I have one more but I'll dig through my time slip box. The Only reason why I posted the 13.4 time was because that was the only recent time slip I had. However for the 2 previous changes I asked I provided videos and time slips to back up my claims. I tried to look for the 13.3 best time slip and found it, hopefully i'll be able to find atleast 2-3 more from the same day, i'm pretty sure I won't have any video footage but i'll try to bring as much proof as I can thanks!

I'm pretty sure you have no intentions of fooling any of us with bogus time slips. However, I still don't understand how your trap could differ so much. To run 107s in the summer heat and then to only run 104s with negative DA conditions make no sense to me. The differences in street tires shouldn't and doesn't affect the trap speed that much to overcome such significant differences in climate conditions. I mainly want to see a different time slip from the same day, track, conditions, etc for that reason. I honestly have not seen somebody lose trap speed with better weather.

Here are time slips of me from yesterday continously trapping 107.00-107.77 MPH non stop with those continental tires, I have atleast 5-6 time slips which I can scan clearly in high 107s not even low. In the beginning yeah I trapped 106 but that was because my 60 foot was horrible and possible driver error on my part. I even trapped 103 yesterday with a mis shift and got a quarter mile of 14.6 something which was pretty retarded on my part? I understand your concern and I will be looking for them as soon as I get home tonight. And i'm sorry in summer I never trapped 107 I was trapping 105.5-106 but I do admit at MIR I did trap 104-105 in a couple runs while hot lapping.

sucks about your clutch man, still a very good run, I am sure you could pull a 12.0 with everything in working order...

Ah, sorry about the confusion. Clearly, I was not thinking straight, for some reason. You can disregard my previous posts.

I understand your concern for posting authentic times no problem I was just trying to be honest and clear about everything. Thanks!

Yeah, sorry about that.

Anyway, are any of you stock HR Z guys planning on upgrading just the tires/wheels? I'd like to see a 12 sec run from a Z with no other mods than just slicks. I know hitting 12s N/A are/were a goal for many of us bolt-on DE owners. It only seems natural and fitting that HR owners should set their goals to hitting 12s with just drag tires without performance mods.

I'll try it but I doubt i'll pull it off with slicks right now, plus I'm done for the season. Hopefully i'll get my transmission checked out, if I'm able to glide through first couple gears I think 12.9 with slicks is doable but I'll have to get back to you guys in Spring with that challenge.
