Sorry about that. That's the 2nd time I made a mistake updating. My excuse: I update the lists late at night, so I'm really tired.

Yes, I was lifting between shifts. My 60ft needs some work. I'm not sure on the power shifting. Veetec has the fastest stock 07 times and he says he lifts (quickly ) between shifts.

I have a "mild" lift between shifts. But I looked at some of my slower slips from wednesday, and my 13.953 you had me completely beat at the 330 mark, and speed was almost identical at the 1/8th, but I'd pulled over a tenth so all I could figure was I shifted faster.

My run goes something like this if I don't spin.

Rev to 4,000 once fully staged.
Slowly increase to 5,000 RPM's once the first light comes on.
Start slipping the clutch a hair when the third light comes on, car should roll just slightly. If you do it right you roll the clutch out to 50-60% and get <.1 for an R/T. By rolling the clutch you roll weight to the rear tires and get better grip on the launch.
Once you've got the clutch rolled out some, proceed to full throttle and slowly let the clutch all the way out, this should be at about 15-20 MPH and the clutch should slip some on its own. It grabs at about 5,000-5,500 for me, then its a quick shift to second (pulling from gear as I put the clutch in, letting the clutch out as its getting in gear) with just a second off the throttle to keep from getting sideways, not a typical street shift with a pause to let the RPM's match.

(edit - I shift between 7400 and 7500)

Etc. for the rest of the run.

The launch takes practice and you can't get jittery or in a hurry. I red lighted a lot learning to do that launch years ago (in my 328) but it won me a few runs I shouldn't have. Same thing now - I'm winning races that the car shouldn't because its heat soaked or I spin - but I nail the R/T.

07 HR is fastest stock by far.

 

I can't seem to get better either - makes me feel better that the driving portion seems identical for us.

Whats the temp like there, because you have 2.5 MPH trap speed on me, and some at the 1/8th even (explaining the ET difference).

 

temp was 54. Its in my shifting thats slowing me down. I don't get why I have such a high trap though. It must be my 1 -2 shift.

My highest traps come from lower 60's - its all about pure power delivery of the engine and no slip.

But I'm in 90 degrees - you're in 54.

So thats 10-15 hp of it right there.
