not really. Dyno racing is dumb yes, but a car making 315rwhp on the same dyno as another car making 250 with similar torque curves is going to rock the 250rwhp car in a straight line. That is a HUGE power advantage. These guys must either just not be going to the track or the guys that can drive and are running these low 13's stock are not modding and going to the track.

 

And that's one of the main appeals of drag racing. What “should” happen often does not.

 

I'll be going to the track this saturday and hopefully posting some new/better times. . .the only thing that won't be that great about the night is it's supposed to be 20 degrees warmer than the last time i went which was when i posted in Jan. . .i'm thinking about putting my stock tires and air filters back in for this weekend. . .i would like to get a real low time completely stock, that is my goal before i start modding. . .i'll post only if i get a better time this go-around. . .

id have to disagree.. i think i could still run faster than 16 somethin if i started in third, or reversea and turned around then went..pretty bad, i guess u gotta start somewhere, but i would expect that somewhere to be high 14's as a starting point...first time to the track with the z i went 14.2 and after 3 runs broke 13's bone stock. so i think it should be a hell of alot faster than that

 

Hopefully his car ran the 13.495 @ 108, it was just to point out that he didn't really say anything about what his time was to help identify him.

 

i agree Peak, he never really said which lane or number he was. . .hopefully it was the left lane. . .even with a bad driver i don't think that car can run 16's. . .he said "update" but i don't see him on the first page lists. . .?

yes its on the left, i pm'd the person who runs this twice and had this posted at another post and get told to put it on here. That was like a week ago. You guys think that with all the mods done that i ran a 16. You have to be retard to run that. I ran a 13.4 with 2.3 0-60, having some trouble launching, but a 16 come on guys common sense.

 

What mods? Thats a lot of mph for a stock car. Nice run

He said intake, exhaust, HFC's, and a TS reflash. Compared with my 103-105 traps in this weather I believe the mods are helping him a lot.

My car doesn't seem to pull nearly as strong as everyone else who is stock though, much less modded as far as that.
