Default Ran at the strip!

I went to Commerce again Friday and this time was much better. My first run was a 14.417 which matched my best from last time. I wasnt trying to get good r/t so the best I had was a .73. I ran 7 times and my best run was a 14.112 @99.34mph which I was pretty happy about. I didnt have the best 60' times but I am learning. This stuff is so much fun now, I cant wait to do it again. I found out that if you run in the 13's you have to have a helmet. Good thing I am not that fast. I think with some more practice I might possibly be in the 13's at Commerce which would give me real good numbers at Silver Dollar. What happened to you Ares? Did you not have any pants? Sorry we left you, but I was trying to show my buddy where to go and I thought both of you were right behind me. I hope you watched some, you should have found me and just ridden with me. Maybe next time.

I was there too, it was fun but the damn lines are too long. Maybe if I could drive and had tires I wouldn't have gotten beat by a Cadillac. I think CLS can get into the 13's when he learns how to drive

P.S. I got kicked off the track and u didn't HA HA

well I didnt bring any pants as I hoped I had, so I went to tech hoping they wouldnt notice but they did. so they would not let me slide but told me I could go buy a pair of pants and come back. great.

I went to leave and get some pants, and the line we waited on to get in the first time was now twice the length. no way I was waiting on that again, so I said screw it, and kept going.

Ill hit it next time, but is it always that crowded? how long were you there to get that many runs? and good times, you beat my best at silver dollar.

Im not trying to make fun, but its always so amusing to watch somebody find out that they cant run without pants. I once watched this dumbass show up with a GSXR 1300 and want to run in his shorts. Couple weeks later I seen him out again in his leathers, and he wrecked inthe 60'. I kept thinking "man they should let him run in his shorts, he would have learned after the wreck".

Why is that amusing? It was my second time at the track and I am in a car that will barely hit 100mph and it is extremely well built. I can understand ona motorcycle, but why should I be required to wear pants if I dont even have to wear a helmet? I dont have a problem with it, but none of us knew. Jason, how was that 14.0? run you had(both)? And yeah I need to work on my 60'.

On the 14.112 run I had a .748 r/t; 2.237 60'; 6.028 330'; 9.173 1/8@80.07mph; 11.860 1000'; 14.112 1/4@99.34mph.My best 60' was a 2.226 and I ran a 14.417, that was my first run. My highest trap speed was 14.237@99.56mph.

Considering you get that 60' down more you should be able to break 13s at SD

Just curious, since no one replied to the thread on R's that I posted about a week ago.

How many R's did you come out at the tree?

I revved it to about 2.4-3k and then trie o feather the clutch. It sounds a lot easier than it is. I was still getting some bad wheel hop. What are R's?

Hey, I'm new here, but I'm liking the site already.

Anyway, my first time running the Z I had pulled a 14.5 and my best time so far is a 14.4. However, my best 60' was a 2.126, but on that run I had missed second, but I felt it was a 13 second time. I'm catching a lot of flak from the guys over at Fresh Alloy, but considering this is my first time running a RWD car, I feel that isn't too bad. I'm going to take it to the track this weekend and hopefully I will pull that elusive 13 second time.

Anyway, great to be here.

Yep, RPM's. So I see that people are getting "wheel hop" when coming out strong.

Hasn't anyone just dumped the clutch at about 3-4K RPM?
I guess I'm just from the old days when we used to run stroker small blocks and big block Chevys at the track.
