Default First run --> trophy lol

Heh, so I went to Englishtown raceway for the first time, and its the first time ever drag racing. My cousin went with me and he took his evo, and his friend bought his turbo MR2. Ive never been on a track before so I was expecting a 14.9 or something. Well I dont have my timeslip on me but my best run was like this:

1/4 ET 14.08
Trap: 100.4
R/T: 0.123
60' 2.11

This is on my crappola all season tires at -3 camber in the rear. BUT the new tokiko springs and shocks made that launch harder than I expected. The car just sits and takes off. If I didnt have -3 camber I think even with cropla tires I can hit a 1.9. I won a trophy of some sort.. winner in my class. It was cool I guess.

There were a lot of cars there. Most of the Z's were running real slow, in the high 14's to low 15s which was unusual. The track was poorly prepped because my later runs were rediculous. I had a 60' of 2.4 because the temperature went from 63 to 47. Ill post up the slip tomarrow, its in the car and its cold outside.

high 14's is bad at Englishtown that has to be driver error there. I was gonna go today but I figured it would be packed how many runs did you get in??

3 runs. It was real crappy. My cousins evo even ran horrible. He normally gets 12.5 at 110+ and he got 13.1 at 111 i think. My friends MR2 also, he runs 13.8 and he ran a 14.2 today. But all the cars were running slow, cept this one del sol which was rediculously fast lol.

It probably was driver error, but the temperature drop made it much much worse.

yeah! Im going on the 18th again. Its damn addicting. I just want to win some moola. Hopefully by then I can get an alignment. Dude though, the new struts make the car launch SO much better. I used to launch on the street before w/ stock struts and I'd get tons and tons of wheel tramp. Now it just sits and takes off, even in the street.

Thats my 2nd run. It got colder, so it was worse than my best. Its funny how much temerature and grip are related! It dropped 20 degrees and my 60' went from 2.11 to 2.4 and i launched it EXACTLY the same!

that's awesome... i get tons of wheel hop right now... i got a set of JIC coilovers at home, waiting to be installed... i was hoping that a stiffer suspension would get rid of the wheel hop... and from what i'm hearing, it should.... thanks

Damn, track seems quite slow. I ran 100% stock other than a front sway and was pulling 2.2 60' and went 13.868

It was slow once it got hot. Im going again on the 18th i think. It should be warmer. I got 2.1 60' last time, and its supposed to be warmer. Im aiming for 2.0 or 1.95 on street tires. Once it hits 75 degrees im sure i can hit 2.0.

edit: oops im on my friends account. This is plumpzz.
