I was talking on the Import Atlanta boards about of course, the old Z's are slow with bolt ons and superchargers thing. There was a call out by a C5 Z06 and later changed his challenge to include Turbo or Twin turbo Z's, another Corvette C6 (non Z06) also called out any Z's.

So I just thought I would see if anyone wanted to test out their TT or Turbo cars, these guys are very eager for some runs. I know our boards don't cater to street racing, so maybe a run at one of the tracks? Anyway wasn't sure were to put this just thought I would throw it out there if anyone was itching for some competition.

 

HA, thats 30 minutes from Marietta, GA home of Sharif's beast, he can lay down a brutal highway **** raping on most street cars.

 

Heheh...well the thing is the first C5 Z06 didn't want to race TT Z's, since he figured they would be way overpowered against him. He originally wanted to take on supercharged Z's or highly modded Z's. Later after doing comparisons between the two...miss matched cars. He added TT Z's to the mix. I think he wants it to be somewhat close.

The C6 on the other hand issued his challenge to ANY Z, and told them to bring band aids to stop the bleeding....so.....yeah.....

 

I'd like to see Sharif's Z dominating. If you find someone up to the challenge, make sure to get some video of it

 

There wasn't many replies from Z owners, or they aren't boosted enough to be up to the challenge. After little replies form Z owners, I guess they assumed the Z's were scared or something, so I decided to come on here and see if anyone wanted to run them to show them we aren't as slow as everyones keeps saying.

 

Well originally the post started about bolt on Z's not having the guts to get the job done and being slow, posted by two guys with WRX's. They showed me the cobb stg2 maps or what not that one had on his car. So I compared it to my 3 bolt ons that yielded roughly the same.

The whole Z's are still slow thing kept going so I tried to throw some logic into it and posted one of my videos of me racing and beating an SS LS1 Camaro from a slow roll, which has a bit more crank and whp than a WRX. I guess that talk later subsided as the members started some more infighting.

I guess another member on the forums who owns a 350Z was talking crap about a Z06 or something and then the C5 Z06 called out 350Z's with this.

I drew up the fact that was a miss match and later the Turbos and TT's were added to the mix.

 

Well, I am pretty much retired from street racing. Just too dangerous, and risky, and unless its something 100% spur of the moment, or a VERY VERY special car... I dont engage in much.

 

Well I was originally trying to get a track race set up, since I know our boards are more against street racing now, since a lot of crashes have been happening. The corvette owners said a dig or roll 30mph or so. So I figured I would try to get it for a track, or I guess the street if anyone wants to roll against the guys.

I'm not trying to make it so that you have to prove yourself or anything at all Sharif, I know you guys are already proven with just how much everyone praises you and seeing your numbers and the numbers off cars that you built, I just wanted to see if anyone wanted to see how their cars would run against them. I wasn't specifically saying get him Sharif! So I just wanted to clarify.
