Default 350z Weight

What is the weight of the 350z? And what is the rear end gear ratio?

There are a couple of them on the base here that sound slightly modded (at least exhaust, with all the "ricer mentalities" in this town, I have no idea if any of them actually did some real performance mods or not) and like to antagonize me on the street. I don't like street racing, but I intend to meet them at the track... soon...

Right now my car is a bone stock 2006 GTO. It's a heavy pig to boot, lol. How easy is it to mod a 350z to "school me"? I.e. if they hagve only done a little, what are the chances of me shutting them up once and for all?

I do plan to have LT headers, exhaust, and a tune done before heading to the track, however, so keep that in mind.

Most Z's with just bolt-on's won't trap higher than 106mph. If you can trap 110mph then you should have no problem with even the fastest of non-stroked street NA Z's. End thread.

*edit- Except Jeremy's

You should have no problems, if you are a decent driver.

Is there some preview as to what N/A mods besides the standard I/H/E, etc.. that'll do greater than 106 traps, as in 'Audible Mayhem's' case? I think I'm missing out on the new breakthrough; fill me in

You should have no issues in the GTO. Most NA Z's will never even see 106mph trap. I trapped 107mph with a weaksauce 260whp, 3200lbs, and the FD is a 3.5...I then added a ST kit and ran 11's trapping 116mph in 100degree heat, watch out for N20 also, Z's respond great to nitrous.

Your GTO will beat most of the guys on that base stock...
Bolt ons really don't get you that much of a gain on a Z...I will get flamed for that...but its true
Watch for a shot of Nitrous though...Like Alberto said Z's LOVE that stuff and the Z will pull away quickly..

Good luck, and get some Headers, Cam, and exhaust on it you will run 12's

i think even with i/h/e and test pipes a gto 6.0 will prolly still win even stock those things haul in straight line. I had a 1998 pontiac grand prix gtp and i modded it not spending over 1000. I did dhm v1.1 computer , catless , magnaflow , 3.4 pulley and it went from 14.5 to 13.7. And it was 200 for the computer 60 for the pulley 500 for exhaust. If u add a 500 dollar shortstack interkooler u can then run real small pulleys 3.0 will lead to some nice times. Not to mention if u switch it from supercharge to turbo the kit is 3000 made by car tuning it gets 325whp with only 5.5psi on a bone stock gtp. Great modding car kinda miss it. But the z is still far better overall and some how the z feels way faster even though its about the same as my modded gtp in a straight line but it sure feels faster on the butt dyno. Sucks they dont make those gtps in stick and rear wheel
