Default Drag racing at Lacr

I went to Lacr Palmdale on wed 18th I wanted to get some runs in before they shut the place down for good =o/ but the best time I was able to get was a 14.6 for some reason I could not get it lower i have no scanner to scan ticket so i will type it

Reaction: .531
I1 : 2.253
I2: 6.218
I3: 9.508
Mph(I3) 4.768
I4: 12.20
E.T 14.645
Mph 95.326

I have no idea what the I means? I had a lot of wheel spin which sucked but some of the people said it was to cold for a good race, my car read 54 degrees outside. How much does that affect it? this is my 3rd time racing it at Lacr so I think i did okay. Also my mods are Jwt pop charger and Megan y pipe running 245/45/17 in rear

Los Angeles County Raceway is 2,710 feet above sea level. The ET correction factor is 0.97 or 14.20 seconds. I am sure that other members have done worse.

Also from reading past stories about LACR's track prep during T&T's, one might as well be launching on a gravel road.

I always seem to hear about how crappy it is over there. It may be somewhat nostalgic to you, but it sounds like it needed to close a while ago IMO.

I ran there also when I had stock 17's with medium tread pop charger and plenum spacer, and the best time I got was:

Reaction: .151
I1 : 2.279
I2: 6.261
I3: 9.544
Mph(I3) 75.375
I4: 12.267

E.T 14.720
Mph 94.872

Needless to say I was really dissappointed.

LACR is FTW. youl get slow times but on a wednesday night youl get continous runs. one after the other no lines to wait in. we go and sometimes wel get close to 30 runs in an hour and a half. either way if you can run good at LACR your car can run good anywhere. my personnal best is 13.9@100mph there. this is a hard feat for any naturally aspirated Z. power mods are intake headers underdrive pulley and cat delets. i will be sad the day LACR closes then wel just have equally crappy Calispeedway with 8 hour waits to get one run in.

LACR has it's good and bad days.

Good meaning, not as bad as the other days. lol

I ran 14.6@97mph stock, I ran 14.2@98mph with tp's and greddy evo2's.

When you do the conversion it isn't too aweful.

The best time I ever had at Lacr was a 14.2 but that was with a jwt intake but I only did that once ever since the lowest I can get is a 14.6. I have no idea what I did to get that but I can not get that anymore . I guess I just have to keep at it to get better times.

I am gonna go back and try my luck with better tires, greddy evo 2 exhaust and resonated TP's. It is a good track to practice on and get runs in, but not for accurate times.
