I'm not as familiar with VQ motors as most but why the high octane? Does the HR motor pull timing because of knock or what? Higher octane gas provides no more power than lower octane unless the car is pre-detonating and pulling timing?

Great times man! I'm sure you could have broke into the 12's with those mods though. Just keep on practicing with what works best.

It's not stock with slicks or DR's, but I will put them on once I mod the car.

With your trap speed and 60', you're just a little quicker shifting away from a 12.9. That said, you will probably get there before me.

I'm basing that on his great 60' and trap speed. It was more then enough for a 12.9.

I'm sure he will get there soon enough.

wasnt too sure of that myself. Never really heard about stage II? WTF!

Also, this setup if border line high 12's. With a 106mph trap it is barely high 12's, and the 60' is already pretty good. It would take an absolutely perfect perfect launch for Gooey to hit a high 12. And with that in mind, good luck Gooey! You can do it!

Thanks for the comments. Im gonna keep pursuing for better times. Even if I powershifted it was a bit sloppy. Looking at alberto's video of how he shifts I granny powershifted =). Well back to the drawing board. I need more mods...
