I understand what skaterbasist is trying to say. The car isnt exactly stock, but I think the what everyone thinks, is that, he only has an exhaust and a set of DR's. Thats not a lot of mods comparing to a lot of us Pre-07's that have a ton of mods, and still have a hard time breaking 13.5!
But again, a car with an exhaust and a set of DR's is not stock. What is impressive is his time, and his noticeable need to improve yet still. Im not trying to offend you Gooey, I myself have a lot to work on, but its evident that your car is capable of more, and hopefully you will be able to do it.

I see both sides of the fence. Nearly stock as in # of mods done to the car. But DR's/slicks are a HUGE advantage that far outweigh all bolt-ons-hence the not nearly stock argument. I say, good mod selection-I always try to run the fastest with the least power/mods done

That 1.7 60ft is great. With the estimate of .1-.2 seconds off the your e.t. for every tenth you lower your 60ft those DR's really helped lower the time.

Without the dr's I was runnin pretty consistent 13.5's and 2.0 60ft. Again my shifting being the problem. Car is a lot more capable with a better driver.

But the term "better driver" can mean so many things. I shift much faster than almost anybody I know(close friends at least). But I also miss shifts on at least 25% of my runs.

Then there's the launch. I can't launch for crap. Never had the ability. You, however, look to have that part down.

25mph in the backhalf is FAST.

I don't think you can get better than that. honesly.

Damn the 07' is just fast.

I also believe you will see some high 12s with light mods in due time.

That 25mph pickup is curious. On his other run, he only picked up 21.5mph. 04treefiddy is picking up 25mph as well, in his vortech'd z.

When I told everyone I was getting a Z, first thing they said is "They are junk. I see them at the track running low 15's ro mid 14's"
I said not the 07's

The person who said that obviously doesnt know how much conditions & tracks have an effect on a car.

Over here in SoCal, the only 2 tracks we have are not so great...

Well, @ LACR, an 07 Z would never see 13's.

And @ Cal Speedway, an 07 Z would see high 13's all day.

We need some east coast tracks over here! It get's a bit depressing comparing times from over here, to the superb tracks in the east coast

try it this time without the race gas. if anything, it probably hurt you. the 07s have 265-270 DJ hp bone stock. thats enough to run 12s at our weight with good tires. alberto and it were both running high 12s - low 13s at 106-107 with less hp so its not anything that hasnt been done.

good job though man for just having exhaust, nissan really stepped up the power for a stock Z and this car will be very fast once we all start modding them.

hey priscilla, how about you let me and AJ bolt the slicks on and set this bar pretty high...??

Given the same temps LACR is only 2700ft or so above sea level....thats a 5-8 tenths disadvantage....even taking the full 8 tenths 13.1 + .8 = 13.9.....taking the 5 tenths its DEEP into the 13's

I know of a bolt-on 03 that runs 14.1 at LACR on street tires....with DR's he would be 13's and the 07's make more power than bolt-on 03's

Please refrain from saying NEVER because its a really, really long time

Driving/Launching is everything for drag.....with a solid launch on slicks even stock I can see an 07 running deep 13's at LACR

I have ran a 13.9 @ LACR with my non revup 05 basic bolt ons. i think the 07 should be able to do the same with some mods. yes LACR does blow. calispeedway also blows.
