I was running 13.13 @ 106-107 with a 1.86-1.93 60ft--> What Im trying to say is you can run 12's on that AWESOME 1.7 60ft Jon. Great launch, work a little on those shifts and its 12's. I said it before I'll say it again an 07' with bolt-ons (you only have exhaust!) and a launch will go 12's. Add a 3.9FD to get rid of the LONG gearing and your nasty fast for NA.

I know this may sound stupid, Im a track noob when it comes to manual transmissions, but the shift from 1st to 2nd is never perfect. I shift too early or too late. I can feel the hesitation shiftin into 2nd and the shift from 3rd to 4th at the end seems like its killing the et

Seat time man, practice can make perfect. You have gone 3 weeks in a row and your improving. I went one summer every weekend when I was 16 and I can hold my ownl Its all about the timing, you will get it, keep it up. Dont be discouraged when you dont improve one weekend or even dont run as good, plateaus happen.

I'm going to invest in some track wheels and tires. Didn't know a pair of dr's can drastically improve my poor driving =)

You cry babies are assuming. Ive seen 104 UNLEADED octane gas before, every once in a while (leaded) wont hurt your cats/O2 sensors geez...

If he fabs up some test pipes he'll be high 12's no problem IMO

VERY very nices times.

But im still wondering why some people are stating that your Z is "nearly stock"?

Im sorry but with DR's, especially with your massive 1.7 ft, all that weight saving you did, race gas, and an exhaust, I really wont consider this "nearly" stock. All of this probably shaved atleast 0.4 off your car.

Not trying to burst the scene; you did an excellent job. Very impressive driving skills, and an impressive car. Wish we had great tracks over at Cali as you people in the east coast have.

Hats off to an impressive run

Congrats on such times!

PS. Where was this done at? Track conditions? Track elevation? Just curious.

Again, the race gas does absolutely nothing on a bone stock motor, and he probably got 6whp from the exhaust. I'd say it's nearly bone stock.

I think both of you missed my point; race gas and "weight saving" did little to affect his E.T (I used the wrong term by weight saving. Was just trying to point out his nearly empty tank & spare jacks/tools).

His Trap Speed is outstanding; I have nothing to say against that.

But Drag Radials can do so much to your E.T, especially with a 1.7 60ft. Much more than a hand full of certain mods can do.

Once again, I hope no one, especially the OP, takes this the wrong way. Not trying to bring anyone down. All im trying to show is that these times were [obviously] greatly impacted by his these factors, with the DR's being the far most important.

I just don't want anyone to be decieved by these times, especially bone stock 07 Z's running in tracks such as the one's in California. "Nearly" bone stock is what's bothering me and what can easily be decieved.

Some mods, in this case DR's, can have a greater impact on the E.T than a handful of certain bolt-on's.

Gooey, you did a excellent run. Hats off to your successful day . I hope everyone understands my point, and does not see this the wrong way.

Excellent times nevertheless!!!!!
