Default First time at track in my 07 Z

She is slow but not that slow. Had a grudge match with one of my co-workers today, he has an 07 Roush stage II. beat him 9 times. . We both sucked at first but I consistently ran low 14s at 100+ final 5 runs. Dont know the altitude but it was 85 F.

So...with my big heavy 20s on, no spare, half tank, my car weighed in at 3250 lbs.Bone stock 2500 miles. His Roush II was at 3440 lbs. (half tank,no spare, stock 18 though). its a roush II so dont know much about it. 5000 miles on it.

So I need to put my stock rollers back on and practice my launch. My best run with heavy *** 20s.

60- FT----2.3013
330- FT---6.1716
1/8 ET-----9.2992
1000 ET----11.9717
1000 MPH---none
1/4 ET------14.2192
1/4 MPH-----101.63

His best was

60- FT----2.4872
330- FT---6.6035
1/8 ET-----9.8159
1000 ET----12.5662
1000 MPH---none
1/4 ET------14.8801
1/4 MPH-----97.47

it was probably your heavy 20s that didn't help. You could of whooped him way worst.

His 60' is laughable. Mustangs are capable of 2.00 stock with a decent driver, almost regardless of conditions (although, if the track is like mine you have to get there early to get the good prep).

You're 1/8th looks slow, your 60' needs some improvement, .2 off of it, .25 off the 330' (1-2 shift needs to be quick and it can happen) and you'll have a high 8 second 1/8th. That should break you into 13's no problem.

FWIW, my 1/8th bone stock is 8.850

As mentioned Ill throw the factorys back on next time I go to track. But these will stay on for daily activities. My bimmers are my track specific cars.

BTW- My buddy went home and ordered headers/catback/ cold air intake for his car. Told him he just needs more seat time but he said he felt humiliated. I hate how mustangs have a HUGE afermarket.

Think only an exhuast will bolt on to the 07 Z. Everything else is still being developed. Any ideas for exhuast or other worthwhile mods? Thats why I came here. You guys know way more about Zs then I do.

I love seeing times against a Rustang. My friend has an 05 GT with bolt ons. Its only a matter of time before we both are at the track. We only have
1/8th mile tracks around here, however. Still good to see your times tho. I think I could run with him fairly easily looking at your slips. If I recall, he usually runs low 9's with his mods. Good driver MAY take it to really high 8's or 9 flat. Remeber, that is 1/8th mile times.

Good try. It might surprise you, but you made the Top-25. Post time slip here: https://my350z.com/forum/drag/233840-top-25-1-4-mile-times-for-tt-st-supercharger-nitrous-bolt-ons-stock.html

Good job. I think they mustang has more potential though than what it was running, as does your Z.

Those 60' are just awful.

2.3's in a good low end torque RWD car like the Z is just ridiculously bad.
