Edit - congrats btw, the thing that makes me happy to see is that the times are consistent - and this makes me think that the engines are pretty consistent too, I know the GTO's had a range from slow to factory freak with the LS1's.

In similar conditions (I think I was in about 2400 DA) I got a 13.55 @~100.8 - so I can definitely see 13.1 possible in some 50-60 degree temps, its not going to be common though for sure.

I'm also curious to see how the car would respond to a better exhaust, the single exhaust with a tiny pipe just isn't cutting it for me

Im curious to see how they respond as well. I mentioned a while ago if it was worth trading in an 03 for an 07 due to the difference in power, and the general agreement was no. Im still not too sure myself though. I have a couple mods and a 13.6 run will only be done with a good 2.0-2.1 60'. It can be done, and hopefully will soon, but I think I could drive a stock 07 to a mid-high 13 just as easy if not easier.

I drove my stock 03 to a 13.6@103mph back in the day...just need to right conditions and a good launch.

Thats kinda my point though. It seems 07's are doing it in crappy conditions with fair launches. Not everyone is getting 1.9-2.0 60's in their 07's, but I think its pretty safe to say most have had no problem hitting atleast a 13.7-13.8.

No doubt they are a little quicker...but I think a basic bolt on VQ35DE powered 350Z should be able to keep up without a problem.

My real advantage over a revup is below 70. After that I pull MAYBE 1-2 car lengths all the way to 140ish.

My 13.55 was with a 2.03 60' ; I had a 1.98 that turned into a 13.58, and a 1.95 that 2nd gear wouldn't engage (I swear it wasn't my foot being faster than my hand, the pedal was buried and it just sat there crunching ). I grannied the shift on the 1.98, so I feel like I could have gotten a 13.50 or better had my transmission allowed me to shift like I normally can.

I'm saying this just to point out that I'm having to get a near perfect run to break into 13.5 territory, but thats in 85+ weather, I think my best run my in car gauge said 86 after it cooled down from the drive back to staging, so I figure it was about 85-86. DA was right around 2,400-2,500 when I checked.

Yeah, thanks. I want to, but it may be this fall, before I make it out there.

I plan on getting intake, exhaust, headers, underdrive pullies, and a tune soon.

How's your Z28 doing? I love F-Bod's.

Btw great runs Warren. Warren beat me by almost a full second when we ran. He ran a 13.7 to my 14.6

The Z is doing great...still bone stock..waiting for good weather so I dont waste my time racing in nasty DA... Get some more practice launching that and even in that crappy weather you should see a high 13... of course a handfull of easy mods will correct all those little GTO issues (IAT relocate, suspension, etc)....

Yeah I know one of the biggest problems with GTO A4's is "torque management". It's almost like it's holding the car back from fully unleashing. I plan on getting intake, exhaust, headers, and a tune real soon. With a good tune I hope to see at least 340 rwhp.
